The Solstice this year seems to be EXACTLY the same as last year, but with less appealing armor and more Eververse. The EAZ was designed to be grinded over 100 times for even bare minimum completion. It was obviously designed to be binged over and over and over all day. This got me thinking. Over the past few years, the game has been getting grindier and grindier.
Now I understand that grinding is a thing in looter games, but I can clearly remember suffering major EAZ burnout last year. I burned out so bad that I'm already sick of it only 4 or 5 runs in. The rewards you get for a run are so minuscule too.
Bungie, please stop making things so monotonously grindy. I can't tell you how sickening it is that the rewards I get for grinding a somewhat boring, re-used activity are massively outweighted by simply the progression of quests. Once I'm done with the quests, I suffer from burnout and am never touching them again until I have another quest to do so. I have no doubt that I'm not alone in this.

It's not the same as last year. The grind is faster this year than it was for last year. You can get bonus progression on 2nd and 3rd character after getting the magnificent set on your 1st character. The second character will get double progression after the first gets the magnificent set. The third character will get triple the progression after getting 2 sets of the magnificent armor.
