Umbral Engrams Focusing System also for Shaxx, Zavala, Lord Saladin and other Vendors?
Hello Guardians and Bungie!
One of the things that I'm appreciating more of this Season is the Focusing System for Umbral Engrams.
The idea that I can actually influence what I'm going to get from an Engram is quite cool and makes the grind less Stressful. Also, it would be even better is we could Focus stats on Weapons other then Armor Pieces.
I was wondering: why don't try to implement a similar System also for other Vendors such as Shaxx, Zavala, Lord Saladin, Saint-14 ecc? I believe that many players would eventually appreciate the possibility to influence the Iron Banner drop from Engrams instead of using an old and outdated system such as Tokens.
But this is only my prospective. What do you Guardians think about it? How would you implement this system? Would you modifie it somehow? Do you think this coud eventually bring problems?

1 ReplyI think we need to be careful when suggesting systems like these become universal. We had that same idea when weapon bounties came out and we quickly became sick of it. Loot should be earned in diverse ways, this creates subtle depth and prevents the game from becoming robotic and transactional. Having multiple systems in harmony is better than having one system make the game one-dimensional.
