Really enjoy the Lockdown playlist, would love to have it as a staple playlist in the future.
As a Halo player who enjoyed Bungie's titles specifically, the fair starts and map movement and control to obtain power weapons has always been my preference. I understand Destiny is a different animal, however during the double primary meta it was a similar feel. Understandably we've moved on to more variety which I still enjoy and play, however many playlists lend themselves to giving players advantageous situations upon spawn thanks to the ability to spawn with special ammo, this decreases movement and earning power positions. Lockdown however is a playlist that actually embraces Destiny 2's current state and changes the ideals behind it.
Lockdown forces movement off the bat to prevent a lockdown, you're constantly splitting into twos and trying to secure and defend nonstop. It does not reward statue sniping or any form of unaggressive play. I've found mid to short range battles with primary much more prevalent, as well as constant movement. Sure some may travel in a pack of four, but usually it'll be a 2v2 or 1v2 situation, all of which are winnable and rewarding. In addition many of these maps were made for 4v4 initially and they really shine at this player count. It's less hectic and messy, but contains more meaningful action.
Lockdown to me has been the defacto feel good game mode in Destiny 2, I'd love to see it become a mainstay.

Lockdown has some serious problems with heavy ammo though. When you’re guarding your own bank, the heavy spawns at the enemy’s spawn point, so they wipe your team with one wardcliff shot and when you spawn you get obliterated by the various heavy weapons the enemy picked up, giving the other team a free round win.
