Connection based matchmaking needs to go. I'm a casual player who just wants to relax and just play the game, but it's hard to do that when I'm always pinned up against the sweatiest people imaginable. Bring back skill based matchmaking. I'd like to actually stand a chance against the enemy and maybe even enjoy the game.

They need to fix this, I am a level 120 and I constantly play against sweaty lvl 300-500s. How is that even close to fair?
-
I agree with you, I hate going against sweaty premade teams but I always seem to run into them and they make me leave the match mid-game 'cause I don't want to deal with any of that.

100% agree. Bad thing is bungie ties so many things to playing crucible and has made it unbearable to play. I try to do the minimal to get a pinical drop and half the time it doesn't give me credit for playing. I played 3 rounds and only got credit for 1. I went from a 2 plus ratio to .5 or less. Not fun at all.

I absolutely 100% agree. I'm not a great pvp player, but prior to CBMM, I was steadily getting better and better. Being matched against people mostly of my skill level 1) made Crucible actually fun, and 2) enabled me to learn from my mistakes and improve as a player. Now, not only is Crucible not fun at all, but I have zero chance of actually improving. Other players are so much better that I can't learn from my mistakes. There's no kill cam in this game. There's no constructive feedback. And to make things even more frustrating, now I'm seeing a bunch of complete jerks in Control screaming at the rest of the team about how terrible we all are. It's like all the content creators and pvp sweatlords never thought that they might be matched on the same team as us lesser skilled players, because all they wanted to do was farm us. So now we're being stomped on AND verbally abused in chat. That's what's so frustrating. You go on twitter and see all of the sweats claiming that they want to be able to play non-sweaty matches sometimes, that they don't want every match to be a horrible grind. And I could respect that if it wasn't such a blatant, transparent LIE. They HAD a CBMM crucible mode: it was Classic Mix, and they completely screwed it because they just wanted to farm people with ultra sweaty loadouts. They ruined their own fun. And guess what, the same thing is happening to all the other game modes. Look, I get that a lot of people like the CBMM mode so far. But there NEEDS to be a casual SBMM mode. Give us Classic Mix. Make Classic Mix SBMM. I don't care if that's the only SBMM Valor mode in the entire Crucible. I just want ONE.

I have to agree. I joined Destiny with never intending to do PvP. I tried Gambit and that was fun and I figured just separate enough that it didn't bug. Most of my fight was PvE so no biggie. Then a friend convinced me to try Capture and I honestly enjoyed it. I started playing Crucible regularly and I greatly enjoyed playing, I looked forward to it. Since the change to connection based match making I have come to dread the soul crushing experience of playing Crucible. I just finished the 100 arc kills in crucible for the spring armor and I had put it off until the absolute last moment because I desperately wanted to avoid Crucible and sure enough each match was soul crushing and awful because I was trying to eke out a few kills while getting absolutely devastated by players of obviously much higher skill. By the time I finished I felt utter relief that I didn't have to keep doing this. That is how much I have come to despise what was once a favored part of the game. Frankly, too, this game is getting on in age and the new content can be nice but I am feeling the weight of burn out on this game. The bad outweighing the good and pushing my attention to other games. Things like this just make that worse. I get it, I'm not a content creator or someone who obsesses with the game to the point that I am ranked and I have a huge clan or whatever. I am a casual player. I would really like to know, though: Bungie, what did I do to deserve this? Taking a thing most beloved and making it so frustrating. to please some player and then holding the in game content at gunpoint forcing me to play this experience you have turned awful. If connection based match making wont go away then fine, please stop giving me quest steps the REQUIRE crucible play. Its unreasonable and it will drive me away. As it is, after finishing the bit for my spring armor I told my fireteam that the next quest that requires crucible I am just not doing it. Its unfair to ask your player base to do something so frustrating. I cannot possibly know what it takes to make your match making work and I am sure there are many people happy to have less dropped players and "smoother" matches. But I play the game to have fun and everyone I have personally spoken to has said the same, crucible is no longer fun. You loosed the poachers into the baby seal pen at the zoo and expect the baby seals to be grateful. I'm not grateful, sorry.

Crucible really sucks for the casual solo player. Bungie once again -blam!-ing things up to please the sweats. Change it back ffs, what's the point of playing a game if you have very little chance of winning

In my Opinion we should Boycott all 6v6 playlist including Iron banner. If you want your pinnacle play elimination or comp they are SBMM. If enough of us quit playing, Bungie will take notice, and maybe make a change. What we need is a choice of either SBMM or CBMM. If you want SBMM back boycott crucible. Tell your friends to spead the word.

I feel you. I'm not entirely sure what is up, but I just can't catch a break. Looking at Destiny Tracker I'm constantly matched against teams that have 75-85% chance at winning. I'm not the greatest player but I don't feel I'm in the bottom 1% (according to my ELO).
