Bungie should reintroduce the ability to reforge the perks on weapons and armor and adjust it to solve many of the current loot problems in D2 made prevalent with the introduction of sunsetting. For those of you that don't know, in D1 rise of iron guardians got the ability to reforge weapons. Doing so would completely re-roll every perk on said weapon allowing a second chance at a good role (it could only be done once per weapon).
[u][b]What it works with[/b][/u]
Reforging will work with all legendary weapons (excluding curated, ritual, or pinnacle weapons) as well as all legendary and exotic armor.
[u][b]How it works [/b] [/u]
In the case of both armor and weapons, reforging can be done as many times as you want, however, the material cost of doing so increases every time you chose to reforge that same item. Additionally, reforging doesn't affect/change the masterwork on weapons nor does it change stat total on armor. Other than that, all weapon perks and the stat distribution on armor is re-rolled. This means that you must still farm your preferred masterwork on weapons, but it also means that it is easier to get well rolled high overall stat armor.

-3 enhancement cores
[i]Fourth reforge[/i]
-150,000 glimmer
-50 legendary shards
-100 gunsmithing materials
-5 enhancement cores
-1 enhancement prism

-10 enhancement cores
-3 enhancement prisms
In the case of exotic armor the legendary shard cost is doubled and the fourth reforge and every reforge after will cost an additional ascendant shard.
