Merge the primary and secondary slots
Keep the 3 slot primary, secondary, heavy but have the primary and secondary slot share the same weapon pool... Don't need to change anything else and this gives you way more freedom like energy primary with a fusion or chaparon with a kinetic primary...

3 RepliesI could only see this happening is if Energy weapons did significantly less damage to unshielded enemies compared to Kinetic weapons.
