Blaze made a loud grunt in his helmet as he pulled off the top of a console. He had finally gotten enough time to search the dreadnaught he had crashed a few months back. He started close to the top of where it crashed, and by now he had to be nearing the bridge. Though, he had found plenty of great scrap metal to use in repairs to his ship or whatever else he wanted to use it for. He half wanted to just quit right there, but the bridge might have things even better. So, he went deeper, hearing the groans of the metal grow louder.
When Blaze arrived at the bridge, he could tell something was off. He could see a large plant growing in the room.......but it was underwater? He stepped through the door to the bridge, and immediately felt like he weighed fifty more pounds. He thought for a moment, then barely took off his helmet. No water seeped in. He opened it fully, and he could breathe. Somehow, this bridge under the sea, which by all means should be underwater, was filled with oxygen, though it stunk with rot. Then he noticed the plant.
It was massive, and it was dying. Half wilted petals surrounded it, it’s stem grew into the floor, and withered vines were sprawled over the floor. Blaze walked up to it, cautiously. Suddenly, he heard a voice.
“Knowledge........offering.......”
It repeated the same words, before falling silent. Blaze remembered what he had in his pocket. A small stone that glittered with the light of stars in the dark. It was given to him by a fish man, and now.....he would give it to a plant. He placed it onto the ground, and quickly vines slithered towards it. They picked it up, and the flower tilted slightly as it inspected it, and Blaze asked, “What are you.” It was quiet for a moment before it answered.
“The final head. Lost on this derelict, I stay alone. Now, for a price, I may tell secrets. It is all I can do, alone and stuck.” As it spoke, it’s half dead petals flapped slowly, and it almost seemed to stare at Blaze. The stone he gave was gone, and this......as dangerous as it may be, he has to tell people, because this could be priceless. As he left the bridge, he noticed a small fish man staying out of sight, working, most likely keeping the plant alive. He slowly worked his way off the sunken derelict, and made it back to his ship. He passed by Fox, who didn’t bother him, and he sat in his chair for a moment, exhausted. He sat up again after a moment, and set up an alert on all main comm channels.
“This is Blaze. I have found something in the derelict ship sunken off the coast of Offtopic. It calls itself the final head, and while might be dangerous, can also tell secrets for an offering. I don’t want it glassed, instead check it out. Anything giving us information could be a blessing.” He slumped back into his chair, and then hit ‘start broadcast’.
So, I wrote this thing for our favorite eldritch being! You can go visit this plant through DM’s with Poly!
