Every time there's a change in the PVP MM methodology it does several things:
- Further divides the community
- Creates animosity and toxicity
- Give one side or the other less choices for modes to play (in their favored MM type)
- Affecting the player base numbers to any degree
I can go on.
Right now (and for a while really) there are too many playlists to choose from and one side or the other has less than ideal choices to play where they have fun.
So here's my suggestion:
3 Playlists. (We have like 7 now? Not including Trials and IB)
- A CBMM playlist with both teams and Freelance (solo)
- An SBMM playlist with both teams and Freelance (solo)
- The same Comp list we have now. teams and Freelance
That's it
Get rid of the notion of 'core' and 'rotator'
- Include (some of) the 'Rotating' 6v6 modes into the 'main' 6V6 CBMM playlist (maybe they can still rotate but just be in that 1 playlist)
- Include (some of) the 'Rotating' 4v4 modes into the main SBMM and make Elimitation 4v4 to match (I think this would give better play to those wanting SBMM anyway)
- Comp would remain the same
- Trials would remain the same.
This is still a rough idea but I feel like it not only simplifies things but gives enough choice on playstyle and individualized fun.
I'm not sure where to but IB in the MM category.
It's 6v6 it is pseudo-PVP engame for the more casual player (Non Comp or Trials)
I'd like to see what the IB numbers and feedback are this week.
Thanks for your time in reading this and I hope we can have a good discussion.
Edit1:
I forgot about Rumble.
It's kind of an odd one being 'solo' clash
It could simply be its own listing.

Or how’s this idea? Create one CBMM relaxed mode where KDA and KD is not tracked. There players may try out different load outs and practice getting better at crucible at no cost.
