2 examples.
Titanfall 2: the game is perfectly balanced game, every gun is fun to use and you don't feel like you're being left behind. Even guns that one shot are perfectly balanced.
The grenade launchers are great, most of them take a level of skill to shoot, and are slow firing so are bad in group fights. With the exception of the cold war and the drum fed one, which are harder to shoot and aim with.
The shotguns are amazingly balanced as well. The Mastiff is very satisfying to use and the one shot range isn't too far. The EVA is still a viable shotgun, some even say it's better than the Mastiff. It's fires automatically but it still has one shot potential, and at long ranges the EVA can easily put class the Mastiff because of the automatic fire.
The rifles are also very well balanced. The R-101 is great it's very viable at long ranges and has controlable vertical recoil. It is terrible at hipfire though, if it did it would it would have a faster TTK than most SMGs. The R-201 is much like the R-101 but better at shorter ranges and hip fire. To balance it, it has a more horizontal hip fire and ADS bullet spread. The Hemlock is my personal favorite gun in the game, it's a 3 burst fire gun. Much like the R-101 it's great at long ranges and bad hip fire, each bullet does do more damage than the R-101, Respawn had balanced it by making the recoil much more than the R-101. With the chance to 2 shot and 1 shot with amped weapons.
The Flatline is the perfect example of good balancing. How it's under powered. Sofar every rifle is used to mid to long range, or excels in mid range and decent in short. The Flatline excels in short range and decent in mid.
The G2 is the semiautomatic rifle. It takes 4 shots to kill someone. How does is this balanced? It has almost perfect hip fire, and ADS, and it fires pretty much as fast as you can pull the trigger. It is the perfect sniper that doesn't one shot. How does the G2 not out class the snipers at all times? I'll tell you next post.
