Make powerful drops have a less chance to be your most powerful gear
This is ridiculous. Today I did 5 powerful gear things and 2 pinnacles. ALL BOOTS. I had 1024 boots to start and now i have 1030 boots but the rest of my gear is under 1023. Shame for wasting us players time.

4 RepliesShould be a 0% chance, especially for pinnacles. I don't do the pinnacle grind in part because of this reason. We just need drop protection. Period.

1 ReplyBungie can implement a simple algorithm fix. They already know how to power scale based on the character's highest potential, now, just set the algorithm to prioritize what armor piece needs to catch up. This is especially evident when you only need one piece of gear to fully max out, but week after week it's the one thing you DON'T get.

I have complained about this for years now and it just keeps going. Its beyond ridiculous

In D1 Taken King when the max level was 120, the only source of max level helmets was the King's Fall raid boss. Over the course of 5 months, all my gear was 120 except for my 119 helmet. I had to defeat Oryx 100 times over the months to finally get that last item. And of course, it was a week before the April Update that made it significantly easier to level up.

That system is there 100% on purpose and since Destiny! What we always did before went it didn't check everything you own, swapping you highest power gear item for that content and tada you got something else straight away.... Sadly that doesn't work anymore now. My friend keeps finding (20+) heavy weapons because of it...

Same... 4 secondaries None of which were an upgrade and some of which were lower than my previous weeks pinnacle. Wasting time.

This appears to be happening a lot. But if you have access to the Menagerie, you can use it to bring up your lowest power gear still. Sucks but it is an option
