I'm reporting everyone I see doing this. I'm trying to farm forges legit because I need to get Platinum Starling. AFKing is a reportable offense.
I'm also trying to extend the clock as much as possible to kick these people out of the queue. My little revenge.

Six, you're not the brightest of stars, are you?
-
Your clearly not the brightest finding problems out of nothing, have fun wasting your time bc i will bet money on not a sole being banned for this
-
Bungie have said they are looking into it.
-
You're not getting into games with these people unless you're attempting forges at sub 700 light. Which would be IMPOSSIBLE.
-
Check my -blam!-ing stats, dude. I'm 1020. I ran multiple forges last night. You could confirm that yourself. Each of those forges lasted far less than the typical time frame of a forge run. That would seem to confirm my claims, I'd think. Regardless, I'm telling you directly what happened. You can believe it or not, but I promise you it's happening. People are not lowering their light level, and they're ruining the experience for those of us who are trying to play the game legit.
-
Not everyone is dropping their power level, be nice if they did or create an lfg to not inconvenience forge players which I’m surprised is still being played
-
First of all, placebo in PvE in general. Second of all, your little stunt is not going solve anything but waste your time for some petty vendetta. You want to get some forges done you either get some friends or LFG.
-
I shouldn't have to LFG for a matchmade activity for which my light level is sufficient. I honestly cannot understand how people are justifying cheesing the game over actually playing the game. The point of the game is to be played, not AFK'd.
-
LFG or finding friends is the most efficient option in general if you want to avoid any blue berries and their antics of any form otherwise you are at the mercy of matchmaking. Personally, those AFKers don't bother me since I no longer have any business with forges and at the very least it sends Bungie a message that this form of grinding is no fun.
-
Literally, the most efficient option is just the regular matchmaking. Even a low-skill blueberry or a new player is capable of handling the forges, as long as everyone's actually make an effort. Like, even being "at the mercy of matchmaking" would not be an issue if people weren't cheesing the system.
-
Just use LFG dude, it's in the app, or are you personally trying to matchmake with afk players just to report them? Sorry but Bungie doesn't bann off of exploits unless very serious, and this isn't that. If you don't want to look like a Karen who purposely wants to cause trouble, then just use LFG lmao
-
I'm trying to play the game the right way. Using the tools and resources made available to me within the game. I shouldn't have to make some special effort just to play the game *the right way*.
-
Seeing as AFKers are using low light gear and how the matchmaking system works for forges, they are also “using the tools and resources” available to them in game. Meaning that by your own standards, they’d technically be playing the game the “right way” unless of course by “right way” you mean the way you want them to play.
-
Most of the AFK'ers I've seen are not making any effort to lower their light level. I'm sorry, but the lived experience does not match the narrative y'all are spreading. And the "right way" to play is to actually play. You cannot tell me that --NOT PLAYING THE GAME-- is a legitimate way of playing the game. Those two ideas are directly opposed to each other. If I set up a Monopoly board, and I set out my piece, and then I go sleep for 8 hours, I was not playing the game. How is that not clear to you people?
-
Your “lived experience” is just anecdotes, which isn’t evidence. No, you said the “right way” was using the “tools and resources” the game provided, which is what AFKers are doing. I mean, does “not playing the game” get you rewards at a fairly fast rate? Oh it does? So obviously it’s playing the game to some extent. Completely not playing the game would be just turning it off. That’s a terrible metaphor, unless I’m uninformed about a new version of monopoly in which the pieces move themselves and better their positions/money over time. And how is it not clear to you that even by your standards that YOU provided, players are still technically playing the game the “right way”?
-
The fact that it's anecdotal doesn't make it any less true. Look at all of the other posts from people who are having the exact same experience. The right way to play the game is to actually play it. End of story. If you're AFK'ing, you're not playing, and therefore, you're not playing the game the right way. I'm sorry, but that's not up for discussion. They aren't playing the game. They're not. They are doing other things while the game runs in the background. If I load up a movie on Netflix, and then go to bed, I am not watching a movie. If I open a book and lay it on my bed, and then I go make dinner, I'm not reading a book. If I fire up The Last of Us, and then I go to work while the game runs at home, I'm not playing the Last of Us. The fact that players have found a way to manipulate game systems to get rewards they didn't earn, does not mean they're playing the game. They objectively are not playing the game. That is a fact. You can disagree, but it's not my fault if you don't understand how works work.
-
Uh, yes it does make it less true. That’s what anecdotal evidence is, less reliable and true “evidence”. Wait, I though the right way to play the game was to utilize the “tools in resources” in the game? Are you moving the goalposts? Are you just really confused? Or did the evil AFKers hurt you so much you feel the need to hate them no matter what? I don’t think you decide what is and isn’t up for discussion in a two way conversation Bub, that’s not how this works. I can’t be bothered to read the rest of your fanboy year soaked response tbh. Please keep crying though, narc.
-
As I said. You're dismissed.
-
Shut up narc
-
There's also a clan too and a tower were you invite people, there honestly is in a way an in-game lff
-
Yeah, there is an in-game way. It's called the matchmaking feature.
-
And going to the tower and inviting people and getting their attention with the "call me emote" Example: xXLjordSireXx wants ????? In his fireteam
-
What the -blam!- are you talking about? Why would I go bother people in the tower?
-
It helps, but you're just lazy
-
Dude, it would be super annoying if people in the tower were constantly prodding each other to participate in activities. I would hate it if some idiot like you were constantly emoting at me trying to get me to team up with you. That would be stupid. But, I mean...I guess that's pretty on-brand for you.
