Because people are lazy on a damn game . Instead of grinding and getting every thing little by little . They rather do that bs and get everything all fast and then blame bungie that ther is nothing to do and cry for the rest of the season .

Is always worth pointing that having to grind out power level is just tired at this stage. It’s not like year 1 or D1 anymore, where the level cap raised only maybe twice a year, with bigger expansions and content drops than we get with the season model. Grinding 20 or 30 levels once every 6 months while engaging with a tiered progression of new content and missions is perfectly. Doing it every 3 months by grinding the same content we’ve been playing for, and getting rewarded with, for a year or more in order to experience just one major new addition is not fun or engaging, it’s obnoxious.

Yeah, I’m sorry but there’s a difference between grinding normally in a game and grinding for minuscule amounts of progression every week. Destiny has a shit power grind, plain and simple.
-
For a lot of people, the grind is too long and boring for it to be worth their while.
-
No, it’s because Dungeons are by far the most celebrated and consistently impressive content that Bungie releases these days. The new one is 40 light levels above season starting power level. That locks out those that don’t have regular groups they play with. That wouldn’t be problem if Bungie hadn’t confirmed that it is only available for this season and next season will be removed from the game for an unspecified amount of time. People are doing this because they want to fully experience and enjoy the best content the season has to offer before it’s gone in 9 weeks, and this is unfortunately the most efficient way to get to do that.

Isn't Season of Arrivals like 100 days?
-
So we should grind mercilessly for two thirds of a season just to play the good parts for a few weeks? I already have a job. And it pays much better than this.
-
I mean, it's video-game. If you don't like it, you don't need to play. Grinding is as much part of the game as the "good parts". It's first week and my first character is already 1030. After next reset I'll most likely have enough power to get through the dungeon, or majority of it at least.

Its another garbage season with a totally unnecessary 50 level power grind. F-uck Bungie. Why would you ever care how others make things easier for themselves? You're not better than them in any way. Nobody will ever care what you think.

I start caring when people come and AFK in activities, making it harder for me to complete Forge runs. If you drop your power low enough, go nuts all you want, I can't stop you.

I run into them all the time when making the mistake of nightfall matchmaking the 1020. And people want raid matchmaking lol...

Main reason why I'm currently running Forges is that there's spaceship available from triumph that requires 100 weapons to be forged from weekly frames. To be able to buy those, I need modulus reports which are gained from daily bounties, which often require completion of Forge or doing something in there.

Didn't know people were still going after that. But yeah that sucks but its new light players not knowing the etiquette.
-
I didn't really care about it that much before - but with Destiny Content Vault being a thing, I'm just worried about missing it if I don't complete the triumph now. :)
-
I’m alright with grinding but this is a special kind of boring. Out of curiosity what level did you start the season at?
-
I started Season from previous soft-cap, 1000. Started the week by doing activities that give powerful gear drops, turned in Prime Engrams and such.
-
I thought I was playing enough but I’m still only managing a light level every day or so if I’m lucky. Granted I’m skipping the Crucible and Gambit engrams because even I have limits. I just wish the grind was a little more interesting than bounty after bounty of running the same lost sectors and strikes.
-
Yeah, some activities can be quite exhausting - like doing Gambit without fireteam.. ugh. Blueberries can be such interesting folk in your team. It helps if you focus your Umbral Engrams before opening them, quite often they have powerful drop inside which helps you climb up the light level. Like I had 1020 chest, focused my Umbral into Armour one and got 1029 chest out of it. Quite luck based still, but any help from system is nice.
