Tis The Season To Be Appreciative
It’s that time of year again folks. I’m not sure if this has died out since my hiatus, but either way, I didn’t want to miss it this year.
Anyways, it’s that time of year, where you show everyone you love some appreciations... and potential hugs. Maybe a particular user made your time here in Offtopic great. Maybe it was a group of users. Perhaps even a [i]flood[/i] of users (shush it’s a good pun). Whatever the case, today’s the day we tell each other how much we appreciate each other, and how we’ve made each other’s day, time and time again. Take some time to show some love to your favorite users, ninjas, and even lurkers. After all, a community is only made by its people, eh?
I’ll take some time to list some of the groups who’ve made this past year an absolute blast, even during quarantine. I’d list every single user, but then I’d go way past the character limit.
- Asterisk gang, for all the awesome memories. Plus introducing me to Persona. [i]I’m addicted.[/i] Peeps like Jay, Slayer, Ronin, Bopsheezi (I think I spelled that right), Michael, Ruby (*sip*), Death, Virus, Stop Cone, TotallyNotSteve, Jesting Worm, Saitonia, the list goes on and on.
- Nexus gang, as always. Million, Fish, you two doods are absolute legends for makin that server.
- Everyone who participated in the OAFL revamp, that was one [i]helluva[/i] time! Also shout out to Iron for ending my life with a pringle. Also sorry for the Bowser jump move Ham.
- The Offtopic SCP series was hella fun to write, thanks to Dr. False for makin dat!
- I can’t forget Aifos
- Or Xombie
- Or Nil, Cobra, Backseatdriver, HotHandSkywalker, ZARDOZ, OLDBOY, Researcher, Solargeo, Jeff, Silencersix, Davy, Liam, ECCHO, Hoth (no not the planet), LordGraviton, Tigger, Robo Owl, Artemis, Ring, Peaches (make sure you treat ECCHO with care), Holmes and their assistant Watson (I think that’s what their names are), Triumphant, Jeff, Psyperactive, BusyBadger, Vex, and Girraffalope (spelled correctly I think). These are only a handful of the various users that are absolutely amazin here.
If you know a user who’s brightened your day or even given you a smile or laugh, make sure to let ‘em know. Take this time to remember those who made Offtopic a special place for you.
And of course, Offtopic wouldn’t be Offtopic without its audience of lurkers. I give you hiding lurkers my gratitude as well. I see you bump posts here and there, and I tip my hat to y’all.

14 RepliesHot dang, it’s that time of year again. This’ll take me a bit to write. First of all, you guys are all awesome. Despite me not being around much (school is a -blam!-, like we all know), you guys still make up one of the most hilarious communities I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Never change, OT. There’s too many of my favorite users to even begin to list. I know that’s cheesy as hell, and that’ll get said a lot today, but it’s true. Bopsheezi, Cell-3, BatPug, Flabber Jay, Toaster, RingLeader, Xombie, and Nil are all names that come up first, but as I’m sitting here writing, there’s always more. Peaches Pan Tao (and all related persons XD), Cmirg, Sylver, Saitonia, Aifos, you guys are all part of the awesome writing community we have. I couldn’t forget any of these names even if I tried. And I don’t want to try. You guys are all great. This has consistently been a place I can come back to when life has been beating me resoundingly over and over again, and I appreciate that oceans more than I think even [i]I[/i] know. And then there’s everybody else. Everybody my infamously bad memory forgot to mention, and all the lurkers and newbies out there since the last time I popped in. To all those lurkers and newbies especially, I say this: You’ve stepped into a community you should really be a part of. I know we joke that once you come here, there is no leaving here (which might or might not be true), but everybody here is charming in their own way. I’ve found that the more people that are here, the more lively this place gets. And you know what they say: the more the merrier. Thank you, OT. [spoiler]P.S.
