First things first, this post is about veteran content (dialogue, emblems, etc.) TL;DR at bottom of post. And yes I know this is an old topic, but we’ve been asking for years now! Before year 3 started, bungie announced that they were doing away with platform exclusive content (ps4 exclusive armor sets for example), And for the most part they did. They brought the exclusive content they released over to the other platforms, except for one thing, veteran content. As far as I see it, veteran dialogue and emblems are still platform exclusive content. Most PC players still don’t have access to these pieces of content. Console players at least had the opportunity, short as is was, to transfer characters over to d2 back in 2017, PC players never even had a chance to attempt. The only current way for a PC player to have this content is if they transferred characters over from D1 to D2 back at launch on console, then cross save over once it became available a couple of years later. I know I’m not the only one who thinks it’s frustrating to hear dialogue in game that treats you like you are a brand new guardian when you know who all these characters and enemies are. I’ve met the exo stranger and Eris, killed Crota, and Oryx, and stopped the production of SIVA for crying out loud. I petition/propose that bungie treat veteran content like any other platform exclusive content and introduce some way for PC players to at least mark one character as a veteran character and ask that, if possible, it be done before or at launch of Beyond Light. The content is already in the game, and with new DLCs coming out they add more dialogue that veteran pc players can’t experience. Now more than ever is when veteran PC players should be asking for this, with Beyond Light coming out this fall, the exo stranger is making a return. Veteran players know who she is, and I for one, would love to hear dialogue as if my character knows her as opposed to being introduced to her again as if it were the first time. They are implementing console transfer between family consoles (Xbox one to the next gen Xbox for example) this fall at no charge, why can’t they let PC players have the veteran content? They have the means to do so! PC players should be able to have the same opportunities console players have and have veteran content, it’s high time bungie gave it to us. We’ve been begging for this for years now. I know it’s not a huge deal to some, and I know this probably won’t be seen by bungie, but I wanted to get this out there if there was even a slight chance. Please share and make sure bungie sees this! TL;DR: I consider veteran content console exclusive and bungie should treat it as such. They need to add some way for pc players who played D1 to mark at least one character as veteran. It’s high time they gave this to us, we’ve been asking for it for years now!
