I’ve been playing darksiders Genesis lately and I’m a huge fan of it. I want to know what you guys think about the games.

Loved the first one. Thought the second one was okay. Haven’t played any of the others (not even sure how many there have been).

Short version. I love the first two (2’s the best). Not a fan of 3. Not normally a fan of the type of game Genesis is, and combined with my dislike for 3, I passed on it. Long version: I’ve been debating picking up the Warmastered edition. Play through the original again. It was good fun! Haven’t played it recently enough to really talk about it, though. I want to replay 2, but.. *sigh* I’m too much of a jamblasted completionist (plus haven’t gotten the ‘all quests’ achievement on Deathinitive), so if I play I HAVE to get all the stones & such. The game gives you 0 tools to find them, though, so I feel like I have to play alongside a guide. Aside from that, though, I absolutely love this game! I do prefer the set loot of the first, as opposed to the random loot, but that’s a minor complaint. I really want to like 3. I wasn’t too hyped about the story—hunting down the seven deadly sins seemed so disconnected from everything else. But, this might be my favorite incarnation of the sins, ever, and the way they handled the powers was actually kinda cool. But it just wasn’t fun. It felt like an awkward fusion of Dark Souls & Darksiders which just didn’t work. Regular combat was.. Okay, but every single boss was just obnoxious. I don’t remember a lot of puzzles either, which was sad.
Plus, killing your horse was so dumb. I’m a horseman jamblasted, I want to ride my horse!
Made it to Gluttony before quitting. As I said, I’m not too big a fan of Diablo style games, so I haven’t really picked up Genesis. I will admit, though, my friend roped me into playing Minecraft Dungeons (can’t so no when he bought it for me...), and it was more fun than I was expecting. Made me tempted to try Genesis, but I don’t have $40 to spend right now.

Edited by Seraph: 6/8/2020 1:49:47 PMI loved the first game ( my favourite in the series ). I did not care for the second. Too many fetch quests. Size does not make a game good. Quality makes a game good, and I feel the second game spreads itself too thin. The third game is pretty good. It gets a bad rap because people were expecting more from a current gen game, and was largely reviewed in a unpatched state, Fury is also unlikeable for most of the game. But it feels a lot like the first game, which I like. The trick to liking it is to compare it to the first two games ( both built for the last gen consoles ), instead of something current gen. I’ve only played the first level of Genesis, so I haven’t gotten far enough in it to form an opinion on it, but it feels like a Darksiders game, despite the obvious changes.

I have a love hate relationship with dark siders 3 It was really mediocre, yet I platnumed it and played through on the hardest difficulty/new game pluse I don't know why I love the game so much, when all I can think about us reasons to hate it

Love the games. One of the artists did my half sleeve too, really like their art style.

Well, 1 and 2 are good games, not great but when discounted well worth a shot, I never played 3 but I heard mixed things.
