Before you read this, keep in mind that I’m just a high schooler that’s quarantined so I didn’t have other things to do, might be different for people who had to take off work, cancel plans, etc. Positives: [spoiler] 1. The buildup was actually pretty fun without a timer in my opinion, it kept me and my fire team on edge. None of us wanted to leave and miss the big reveal. 2. The explosions, from the initial popcorn of small missile impacts to the final moments of the almighty, felt and looked fantastic. The sounds were amazing, and our ears even rang after the almighty‘ score detonated. 3. The NPC’s AI all we’re doing something relating to the almighty (with the exception of the airstrip frame who continued to wave ships in, possibly wanted the almighty to have a safe landing?). 4. The servers, at least for my fireteam, were good, and nobody was booted.[/spoiler] Negatives: [spoiler] 1. The music flashed on and off and didn’t seem to be coordinated correctly with the event. 2. For people who didn’t have all day, they might have taken off work just to miss the actual event and waste their time. 3. There was very little change made to the tower or anywhere except the background of the tower. 4. The emblem didn’t feel like a good enough reward. 5. We, the guardian, didn’t feel like we were a part of the effort.[/spoiler] Fixes: [spoiler] Make the reward something special, maybe an all black shader would have been amazing Give a rough estimate of the timeframe in advance. Make the music fit more, I don’t know how to do that so not much help there. Have us load missiles in the tower defense system to shoot down debris. (Not my idea, will link if I remember whose.) Make a couple more impacts to the tower, hell, let the almighty hit the tower hangar or something. Massive changes should have come.[/spoiler] Tbh, I loved it. Thanks for reading, have a great day.
