So. Last Weekend I finally did Recluse and Mountaintop Quest, how was it? Well, I start at the beginning: I am not a PvP Player, I’m only interested in 100% the Game and PvE. I already have Every Exotic that was tied to a PvP Quest and those where tbh not really a big struggle. With this out of the way Recluse: I had Zero problems getting that Weapon. It costed me 4 Hours of Solo Comp (without Matchmaking of course) to reach the 2100 Points, from all the Matches I lost around 4-5 Maybe and I was twice on a 5er Win Streak. So as a non PvP Player, I have actually Zero complaints on that Quest/Triumph. BUT here comes the problem kid Mountaintop: I played PvP for 11 Hours Straight. During this time I got All 750 Grenade Launcher Kills 10 Double Grenade Launcher Kills 23 Medals. Yes I know, those are Pinnacle Weapons and I don’t expect them to unlock Day 1. But those Double Grenade Launcher kills is a thing of inhumanity. I realized why most people did those „Mountaintop Cheese Lobby’s“ to farm the Weapon fast. 11 Hours of PvP and only got 10 Double kills, even then by pure Luck. Especially since Sunsetting is now a thing I would say these Quests need a proper Nerf on Steps that are way too tedious. Because why would list people get those weapons now, when they become useless in 3 Seasons later? Same goes for Redrix Broadsword, only looking at all those Quest Steps gave me a proper headache and this Weapon is not even Meta or borderline Broken. But this weapon also gets Sunsetted while the Quest still stays the same. Bungie, if you really nerf/kill the old weapons, at least change the Quests too. I know I don’t have to get those, but like I say, 100%. But getting through the struggle of my life for something that gets obsolete in like half a year is more then punishing for me as a player.
