Well I got bored and inspired so I am introducing a new character! Fun and lower level and less powerful than my other which is fun. Why the typical starting in a tavern themes? Well it’s simple as stated before and I have other in plot reasons but that is for your character to discover. Either way enjoy or don’t I don’t really care. Ok I do. But I feel like I have been rambling on to much. Enough with the author disclaimer and in with the show! Oh This is a roleplaying Event if you wish to join.
“Greetings my wonderful audience. Today our setting takes place in a small tavern somewhere in the corner of offtopic. Just a typical setting for our situation. This tavern has a small stage which I stand. Thy small wooden stage may just seem to be a simple cheep location for performances and the like but for me it is more. The stage for me was a portal to other world built by myself. The stage which leads into the plot of course. The tavern was filled with many different people. Strange types and probably some portal for every random character to enter. Either way don’t let me ramble on on to the scene. Enter the actors and welcome to the show of our lives.”
Standing on a small stage in a random tavern stands a wood elf. He is clad in simple garment and a bag of props sits next to his feet. The entertainer narratives the scene around him. Then he begins telling a actual story. He describes a ancient civilization and ancient treasure lost to time. He places a leather hat upon his head before continuing his story of a archeologists discovering a ancient treasure by crawling through a dungeon of traps and escaping a evil army searching for power. Of course he takes on the persona of the characters as he weaves his tales for the bard is a gifted actor and storyteller. Wether the audience is paying attention matters not for the bard.
After telling many tales and earning a room in the tavern the bard decides to take a break. Voice sore from so much talking, the wood elf heads outside to admire the wonderful view of the starry night at scene 2.
“Well what a wonderful performance”, the bard says to himself, “they all truly loved it. Is my love for the theater what drives me to become the star for the night? Nay thou would be wrong to suggest such. I am a simple entertainer and one who weaves story’s with fate as the threads. But alas it matters not for tonight I shall take the stage and be the star!” As the elf finishes his speech a 3 shady looking thugs emerges from the shadows. The elf turns around towards the door only to see two others flank him.
“Well well well what do we have here? You think you are some sort of actor in a play?” The Boss of the thugs says in a deep growling voice.
“Well of course good sir. I am a storyteller and life is our story. We set the scene of the shady encounter in a dark starry night outside a naive tavern.” The elf begins. His tone shifts into that he commonly uses to set the scene of a story.
“Enough!” Interrupts the thug, “you ain’t fooling anyone. Rumor has it that you are keeping some valuable treasure. Something valuable given to such a fool. Easy picken really. Hand it over now or else...” the thug threatens as he draws a weapon in the form of a thin but sharp knife.
“I find your need for violence quite appropriate. For now beware! Or hero shall enter the stage. Turn your gazes towards left stage for our hero comes!” The bard cryptically describes and turns his gaze towards the describe direction. Waiting for some hero to emerge.
it may take me a while to respond. *Dramatic voice* I am a busy man. But thank you.
