This is the second post that I'm gonna make about this issue. as the first one that i made as just vanished and apparently didn't post for some reason.
My Specs:
Windows 10 pro
Intel Core i5-4590 3.30GHz
Nvidia GTX 1080ti 11gb (there is a 970 installed too running a 3rd monitor)
24gb RAM
500gb SSD
I upgraded from a 970 to a 1060 as someone bought it me as a gift. the card was fine but had a harder time pulling the top end stuff. so i upgraded to a 1080ti. Now the game looks great, high/highest on everything and a 70-80 fps stable with about 30% usage on the GPU and about 6-% usage on the CPU and 8gb out of the 24gb RAM used. This is also with other stuff running in the background. So to me, that means that there shouldn't really be any frame drops, load times shouldn't be too bad, everything should run as it's meant too (i might be wrong, and i get that there are other things that can go wrong but this is all i really understand. I know software well, and i know hardware well enough to see a basic issue and build a pc. My knowledge stops there). Since upgrading to the 1080ti, load times and been brutal, like 5+ mins loading into the tower, and i still didn't make it in, i had to alt f4 before I stuck my tongue in the plug socket. I cant even load into crucible games as i get error code beet (starting to think there is a hidden collections tab to see how many of the error codes you can get. That tracks from season 10 on wards too. so anything you got before season 10, doesn't count. Yeah, that stunt really ticked me off Bungie). Yesterday it wasn't too bad, they had been long, but it was manageable. Today it's been unplayable and to top this morning off. I launched my game after playing all of yesterday, and it launched in 3840x2160 windowed. I only really play in 1920x1080 full screen or 1772x992 (or whatever that resolution is) windowed. God knows why it launched so insanely big, but it took nearly 20 mins to launch the game at that size because of the strain i was putting on the pc trying to launch it on all 3 monitors. It's taking a lot of will power for me to type somewhat pleasantly, and not just flip out, I'm seriously sick of this now. I've had more tech problems than the average player, on top of all the bugs and bs that you keep force feeding us as content. While all i want to do, is play the game with the community that I'm fond of. Enjoy the 5 min video of me loading, and just ignore whatever they were talking about in discord at the end.
I had an issue about a year ago where one of the pings that holds the cooling fan over the processor had come undone, which was throttling everything. I have checked everything inside my pc on the hardware end, and nothing is out of place, unplugged or not running properly. Unless the card itself is busted, which is shouldn't be/isn't as i'm now running Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands on max settings at 60 fps stable with very fast load times.
On a side note "There can be only be a maximum of six tags on a single item." when i try to make this post on the forum. There are only 5 tags.............. Then, when i removed the tags "We've encountered an error, please try again later." YOU ARE THE ERROR! I don't even have words for how disappointed I am at the state of this game and the developers. Hard times for them or not, this is unacceptable.
