Vex spider aka Arachne (inspired by the first Greek spider woman hybrid) A metallic Vex spider construct comprised of eight legs each quad jointed leading to a fat bulbous body that is heavily armored. A large radiolarian abdomen sits at the back of the construct and is heavily guarded by the creature, the front is a horrific sight a metal spider face with piercing red eyes that stare unemotionally. Four large mandibles two above two below ending in giant needle like spines, in the center of these lies a mouth that fires crystallized radiolarian that slows targets and adds a frosting affect. The two feelers at the side of the head act as primary weapons, firing a similar ice like substance to the mouth. These spear like projectiles have caused many old enemy's of the Vex to fall, the blasts are of a heated metal that hardens upon impact creating a devastating force. The construct has a weakness though its rear, this is extremely vulnerable to bullets and explosives due to being comprised of a hardened crystal glass. However the rear is not completely vulnerable as close contact is ill advised the construct secretes a unknown fluid never before seen in the Vex, its properties are unknown and the affects have never been recorded as guardians have only ever encountered one of these machines. It is advised that single guardians avoid contact with these creatures and even the best of fireteams should focus on getting around the back while maintaining distance. " Doc make a description " All ready on it ohhh this is so exciting to think we are the first to discover this." " Just hurry up." " Vex spider hmm Arachne after the myth of old possibly I could... anyway (clears throat) we have discovered a new Vex construct the following is the description of the beautiful design. Eight large legs spanning roughly six feet in diameter all appear to be quadrupedal in joints. This is followed by an elegant armored case intricately designed with a base of silver embroidered with glass plating revealing the intricate workings, this is marks-manly outlined and highlighted by gold work. The inner workings seem new when compared to regular Vex and appear to be a mix of almost clock work and unknown mechanics. A striking abdomen sits perfectly balanced at the back a silver case adorned with gold engravings protecting the glowing radiolarian filled glass case that snugly fits under the armor. The head of this delight while strange and terrifying in a mind gripping way shows the true elegance of the Vex. Four large red eyes sit staring unemotionally surrounded by six smaller eyes four above the larger ones in a downward arch and the remaining two underneath the larger counterparts. The head itself follows a similar design to the body but features no glass unfortunately meaning the inner workings are sadly lost to us at this moment. The face also is adorned by four large mandibles two above, two below the silver weapons are engraved with golden carvings and tipped with a glistening glass needle. A pale icy fog emits from in between these mandibles which sadly I have not gazed upon the source of this mist. " " Further updates are required for these logs."
