To Free Up Space, Consider Removing Crucible

Totally serious. No one likes it. It only serves as a frustrating activity. You obviously cannot figure out how to matchmake teams. Lots of balancing problems. Let's just get rid of it. This is the first time Ive suggested this. I feel that D2 pvp is in the perfect point in life to retire Shaxx, or give him some other duty station. Think on it. *Melkor Darkstar has suggested that Gambit be removed. Im fine with that as well. Maybe both?!

  • The Crucible is really an anchor around the neck of the franchise. 1. Its a third of the player base....a minority. 2. You can't monetize the content without fracturing the playerbase. 3. Trying to monetize cosmetics to make up the shortfall angers the PVE player base. 4. Balancing passes break the power-progression that fuels PVE, angers the PVE player base. 5. The loot problems that PVE is having are because this game's systems were designed for PVP balance. 6. So PVP---especially now that Trials is back and a lame horse----is a Money Pit that Bungie is committed to throwing money down....with no direct way of ever gettign back. That is doing nothing to grow the game. This game will never reach its potential on the PVE side of the game as long as Bungie is fixated on PVP being a "balanced" affair....and PVE and PVP share the same sandbox. But alienating a third of your customers? I can see why they dont' want to do it, even though the impact it has on the game (as a PVE main) is frustrating to watch.
