D1 did a refresh of strikes for expansions like Taken King and Rise of iron. Of course this isnt as good as new strikes, but grinding the old ones for years is really making that playlist something I never want to play. Not only that, but it actually changed the game according to story events. Isn't that what you guys are going on about now? What happened?

The weekly bounties that require specific strike enemies kill a lot of the "fun" for me. Great game design, make everyone unhappy when they get one of the 17/20 strikes that are almost completely useless to them for the week. Leads to a lot of quitting. Also, the heavy bounty focus doesn't encourage teamwork, quite the opposite. People go full tryhard to kill enemies (especially the big groups of trash mobs) first and avoid objectives and the more tanky enemies.

I used to really enjoy strikes in d1. Me and my buddies would play them just for fun. But I just can't bring myself to do them anymore in d2. I think essentially being forced into them every week, the lack of interesting modifiers and the fact weve only had 2 new ones since Forsaken has just made them a chore.

Better modifiers would be a nice start.
