The MIDA Multi Tool is a classic fan favorite of the first Destiny game that made its way to Destiny 2 and here is why:
Strikes: This weapon isn't particularly suited for strike missions but it does still pack a decent punch to your enemies. It just seems like you could use a ton of different exotic weapons more suitable for strikes rather than using this weapon.
Score: 6
Crucible: This is where the weapon truly shines. Its ability to keep your radar up when aiming down the sight is the primary reason why it's so good for Crucible. It also does some pretty good damage at a moderately fast fire rate.
Score: 10
Gambit: I've only played a few matches with this weapon equiped and I can easily say that this weapon also works well for this game mode. I found it so satisfying invading the opponents side and at one point killing the whole team.
Score: 9
Verdict: If you're a Crucible player then this is a must have weapon. And it's not that hard to get either. The questline for it is rather easy and you get two weapons from doing the quest (MIDA Mini Tool). Let's hear your opinions. What do you guys think of my judgement?
Final score: 8.3

Edited by SluGGo: 5/12/2020 7:04:33 PMAre you trying to start up an old meta? Not sure I understand the point of a 5 year old weapon. No hate, just asking the reasoning behind it. It also adds agility while equiped... just sayin.

It’s a pretty poor choice for competitive though.

Mida was much better and more useful in D1. All scouts in D2, Mida included, simply don’t pack enough punch and their TTK is too slow. You handicap yourself in every activity when you use a scout. That’s what your video should of conveyed. Overall 4-10.

My fave exotic over all.

Should probably mention the sprint and mobility buffs it gives too...

Took it out of the vault few weeks ago for doing my catalyst kills. Was pretty surprised how easy it was to counter autos in pvp. In D1 it was one of my favourites already but now I am gonna use it more often again. Just the perk for the catalyst could have been a better one.

I didn’t realise a weapon from over 5 years ago needed a review today.

H4Z4rD reviews the Mida Multi Tool: It's good.

Good review a point I would add for PvP that makes it so good is it has built in high caliber rounds.

Yup... pretty much always been like that. Even in D1 it was never really a PvE weapon but was amazing in PvP. I remember getting it from Atheon on my first clear of the Vault. Jumped into a crucible match right after on Shore of Time and it was melting! Good times😊

Not enough meeps for a beaker review (if you watch the muppets good on ya)
