It’s a late Summer’s night in 2014. A cool breeze blows in through your cracked bedroom window, accompanied by the melodic chirping of crickets.
Your room is lit only by the screen of your laptop, which itself is softly emanating the nostalgic music of the Minecraft soundtrack.
The device sits upon your bed, the sheets and covers a mess from you constantly changing positions.
You’re a little bit overheated from the laptop and the covers, but you’re feeling fine. The cool breeze pleasantly remedies your problems.
You’ve had a long day—or night. You’ve been building, exploring, watching obscure videos, and making overly complex redstone contraptions because you don’t understand how to simplify circuits.
Your eyes begin to flutter in time with the chirping crickets, which themselves seem to drift toward synchronization with Minecraft’s music.
You decide to finally call it a night. You close your laptop without bothering to close Minecraft, and set the device at the foot of your bed.
Without even rearranging the messy covers, you curl up and find immediate comfort. You close your eyes.
You have no worries about today or tomorrow. You know your dreams will hold only pleasantries. It is a simple time, one without stress or bad things. You close your eyes tighter against the welcomes tiredness.
All is quiet. All is good.
