Ether erupts from the head of a vandal as Ronin approached the security room. He looked from side to side as he allowed Lockdown to come out. "Get that door open," Ronin said as he reloaded his auto rifle. "I'll make sure to keep the escapees away from us." Lockdown floats at the door and starts to scan it. "You know Ronin, I can do more than open doors." A smile creeps on Ronin's face. "I know Lockdown, but you cant operate a gun." As he says that, he snaps to his right and shoots a Psion approaching their position. "I think the current system is working out just fine." Lockdown sighs as she continued to unlock the door. A few more cabal looking for a way out come upon their position and aim their guns at Ronin. The hunter rushed towards his new guests and kicked a cabal's helmet off then shooting it in the head. Another one revealed its hidden blade and slashed at Ronin's head. Ducking out of the way, Ronin pulled out his shotgun and shot directly into the cabal's chest. As the space rhino fell to the ground, Ronin's shotgun already took the head off of another one. Suddenly, sharp pain coursed through Ronin's shoulder as a Psion's sniper bolt ripped through him. In return, Ronin took out his auto rifle and pumped his head full of lead. "I got it! Come on!" Lockdown said as she disappeared. Ronin shot one last Psion as he ran for the door and went inside. Lockdown shut the door and Ronin went to the security footage. "Make sure the door is locked," Ronin said. "I'm going to watch and see if I can figure out who did this." Ronin starts to go through the security footage, looking for anything that could explain this breakout. Suddenly pounding was heard on the door and Hive moans could be heard from the other end. "Hurry up Ronin!" Lockdown said. "Unless you want to have a fight with the grown up larva from the abyss." Ronin didnt respond. He slowly took off his helmet to take a closer look at the footage. He was slowly shaking his head in disbelief. "Ronin?" He clenched his fists, arc energy crackling around him. On the screen was a vandal wearing the colors of House Judgement pressing the button to release all prisoners. "Variks...how...could you!?" He cursed in Eliksni as he generated and arc staff and slammed it into the locked door, blasting it into the Hive on the other side. Most were crushed by the impact. Those unfortunate enough to not be got slaughtered. Ronin stood there breathing heavily. "Ronin?" "Lockdown...we need to go..." He started walking, then stopped as a familiar energy surge passed him. He quickly turned around, anger and concern in his eyes. Ronin ran for the security footage and changed it till his worst fears were confirmed. Cayde-6 stood alone, Uldren Sov pointing the Ace of Spades at him. Then he shot. Ronin fell to his knees and slammed his head into the console, tears in his eyes.
