The sun moved through the sky at a sluggish rate and the day seemed as if it would never end. There was still many tasks for the king to do. One of those tasks was to properly greet the man at his front door. [b]Allo[/b] was a professor at the learning district of the kingdom. He was curious, formal and very good at his job. [b]Allo[/b] wore a suit, tie, fedora and a pair of glasses and gloves that were coated in the main colors that represented [b]Paradisum[/b], white and gold. His hair was straight, slightly long and dark red, making it easy to notice under the brim of his hat. The door of the castle creaked open as [b]King Dezi[/b] stood at the entrance in front of [b]Allo[/b], inviting him inside. [b]Allo[/b] walked towards the king while taking in the atmosphere of the area. It had been his first time near the castle in his whole career.[/i] [b]Dezi[/b]: “Thank you for accepting the invite. I’m glad that you decided to take the time out of your day to assist me.” [i][b]Dezi[/b] extended his hand in front of [b]Allo[/b].[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “Nonsense. If the king of the land I reside in needs my assistance, then it is my duty as a simple citizen to do what I can to help.” [i][b]Allo[/b] casually shook the king’s hand. The two of them entered the main room of the castle where [b]Domund[/b] sat at the start of the stairs.[/i] [b]Dezi[/b]: “This is my son, Domund. He has requested that I hire a teacher of sorts so he can be more prepared for the upcoming selection. You will be the one instructing him.” [b]Allo[/b]: “Instructing him in what, exactly? You never specified that in the letter.” [b]Dezi[/b]: “I’ve asked him that, but he has been unusually stubborn and he refuses to tell me. That’s why I hired you. I’ve heard that you are skilled in a multitude of subjects, such as science, strategy and even combat. I’m sure he’ll tell you once he’s ready. For now, simply introduce yourself and discuss what it is that you will start on teaching tomorrow. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” [i][b]Dezi[/b] walked up the stairs to the second floor. [b]Domund[/b] stood up as [b]Allo[/b] faces him.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Prince Domund. My name is Allo and I’ll be your personal instructor.” [i][b]Allo[/b] extended his hand in front of [b]Domund[/b]. [b]Domund[/b] stared at [b]Allo’s[/b] hand for a short time, then hesitantly shaked it with his own without uttering a word.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “So, you’re going to be in the selection test against your brother? You must be determined to win and become king if you wanted me to teach you. Speaking of teaching, what exactly is it you want to learn?” [i][b]Domund[/b] silently stared at [b]Allo[/b], as if he were examining him.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “You don’t talk much, do you? That’s fine. I’m usually nervous too when meeting new people.” [i][b]Domund[/b] began to walk up the stares. He turns back to Allo and signals him to follow. [b]Allo[/b] sighs.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “I really hope he doesn’t view me as some sort of lowly peasant.” [i][b]Allo[/b] followed [b]Domund[/b] up to the second floor of the castle. They entered a long hallway with many doors on each side. [/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “Say, I know this is sudden and a bit random, but is it okay if I give you a nickname? It’s just a little something that’ll help me get familiar with you. I do it to a ton of people.” [i][b]Domund[/b] remains silent.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “So... your name is Domund... hmmm... what about Doe? Dom?” [i][b]Domund[/b] still doesn’t give a reply.[/i] [b]Allo[/b]: “Hmmm... how about Dommie?” [i][b]Domund[/b] smirks and slightly chuckles after hearing Allo’s last suggestion. [b]Allo[/b] grins knowing that he managed to amuse and grow closer to his new student, even if it was slightly.
