Once upon a time in the early middle ages, there was a dimwitted emperor
who was trying to find a butterfly. That's when he came upon an unmarried
mother."Can you tell me where in the kingdom I can find a butterfly?" he
asked the mother. The mother did not have to think at all. "I do not know"
said the mother. The emperor considered the mother's answer. Then he
asked her to marry him, and she accepted. Later in the evening while he was
conversing with his lover, the emperor had a stroke of insight: Much
treasured is he who is known for his cart, for he also masters his ideas. And
he knew that his life was nothing to brag about.

Once upon a time in ancient Japan, there was a poor thief who lived in a small village. One day, a philosopher visited him, and said "good evening, dear thief, you wouldn't happen to know where a philosopher like myself can find a wife around here?" The thief thought long and hard. Then he replied "of what you speak I do not know for I am but a mere thief." "Why do you behave like this?" asked the philosopher. "That is because I want you as an ally" replied the thief. After some thinking the philosopher decided to become an ally to the thief, and there was much rejoice.
