For only the third time I've stopped playing. I stopped in year 3 of D1. I stopped after CoO until Warmind. But I've never been so uninterested as I am now. From FOMO, to drop rates being WAY too high, to Eververse, to failures in storycraft and progression I've got a bunch of things that have built up over the last 5 years. The video gives concrete ways to imporve the game while still letting Bungie monetize cosmetics (because that's simply how it is now people). If you don't want to watch the main takeaway vis a vie Eververse is this.
A TRUE transmog system. All armor can look like any other armor. But to turn an armor piece into an ornament you must buy "armor blueprints" from EV. All EV items become drops in game. RARE drops in game. All EV items drop in game and are paid to equip.. ALL armor can be turned into an ornament but it's paid to equip. Low bright dust grinds allow maybe one set of armor blueprints per season.
There's simply no reason to grind power. There's no reason to run old raids, there's no reason to bother doing strikes. Put all cosmetics into the game and charge us to equip them. This keeps EV viable. Perhaps MORE viable and expands the loot pool while injecting life into every activity. Outbreak skins drop in Fallen Strikes. Armor sets in specific NF's.
Something needs to change. These are my ideas.
