Strikes, gambit, and crucible are the core modes of the game. All multiplayer.
You can't enjoy even half the content of the game alone.

One, those all have matchmaking, so you clearly missed the point of the post. Two, as a result of being matched activities, each of those can be enjoyed by solo players. Ergo, single player activity: doesn’t necessarily mean you’re playing it alone. What I think the OP was referring to was the notable step backward Bungie took with the Seraph Tower being an open world public event, like Court of Oryx rather than Forge Ignitions, where there is not matchmaking...it’s just out there, in a lake or field, and you may or may not get anyone to come do it with you. It didn’t just start with this season though. It’s been an issue since Shadowkeep came out.
