When Bungie learns that solo players make up a decent chunk of their audience and embraces that audience, Bungie will reap the rewards.

You can do everything solo in the game besides trials and raids! -
I’m a solo player but learned how to make a fireteam to raid and between D1 and D2 I have done over 1000 raids. I started D1 with no friends at all.

What to do the higher level stuff and a team makes it easier. In a week or so I will be back to solo besides the raid after leveling up.

Whats the point of stating this? That's good for you but for millions this is not the case. Some people don't have time to make digital friends online just to complete some game activity. I know kids in high school that don't have time for that let alone most adults.

Most adults? You want to speak for the majority of people in the world now? A raid takes awhile, but it's going to take even longer with match making. If you're advocating for shorter content say that, because the test of these people want to raids while putting forth zero effort and commitment. And they wonder why people don't want to play with them. They want to bail instantly.

Edited by name: 3/16/2020 8:38:17 PMi had a hundret ish of cleared D1 raids because i really liked d1 , but i can tell you it was a nightmare every time i wanted to play the raid, having to spam on this forum trying to manually matchmake, for every raid i played (or tried to play, not always i even started a game due to lacking matchmaking even after an hour) i [u]wasted betwen 1-2 hours just trying to fill a party or join one , [/u] people were leaving left and right after any wipe , sometimes if all or most left and then it was back to forum spamming and waiting in orbit, or sometimes just one person left and even after 15-20 minutes we couldnt find a replacement so it was over and back to square1 i will never understand why this game doesnt offer matchmaking like for example ff14 , the game had a 500 000 000 USD budget , how much would it cost to implement a option like the attached video for player convenience? another side effect of this bad game design was that i cluttered my original PSN acc. with hundreds of destiny players in the process (no other game required this ever) , people i only played 1 game with but had to add them to even be able to invite them, so i ditched my old psn acc. completely and had to make a new one , thanks for that too in the early d1 days i was still hoping for a proper way to play the game one day , but nothing changed til today so i moved on as d2 wasnt nearly as fun as d1

Explaining to them that you don't have to friends people to invite them to your fireteam? That sucks for y'all, i guess you live way out west? I'm on the east coast and it's not nearly that bad. The worst part was typing in those stupid names. Mine is 3 numbers and 3 letters, just invite me!

Also I've been playing multiplayer games for almost 15 years what are you talking about? 99% of multiplayer games have you know...online matchmaking for 99% of it's activities. Excluding raids there is not one piece of content in destiny that can't support optional matchmaking. Destiny "community" is the only one that has excepted this for years for some reason. In reality that's not optimal just like peer to peer connectivity being excessively dangerous in 2020 even in 2014 lol.

And if you do want to play say a raid or trials, there should be match making in game as an option. LFG is TOO MUCH trouble. It's not brain surgery. You get random players on LFG much a you would from a separate app.
