Solo players Can’t progress
So now that basically everything requires a team, (cuz I can’t Even solo a seraph tower) and progress In The game, What do I do now? Im a full time dad with a full time job and when I actually have a moment I need to just be able to turn on and go. I can’t do that anymore, I Love this game but I literally had to shelf it right now. Bring back some soloability would you?

Solo player here. Almost maxed my EDZ bunker. You can do it. Have some patience.

I hear what your saying , im a single father and mostly a solo player but I happen to have more time to play and I can tell you just focus on leveling and before you know it you’ll be bored with how easy this bunker stuff is. I focused on bunker upgrades that would benefit me first . I’ve solod 2 of the 3 legendary lost sectors and cleared the bunker everyday and I’m just hitting 980 now. Plus I’m sure there are plenty of others who are in a similar situation that would jump in to help you when needed.

I feel your pain. I'm a solo player by nature. I started long ago when games were only solo player, and it was truly "me time". Somewhere along the line games became "we time". I had 3 full raid teams by the end of D1 and none came to D2, so I just decided all I'll ever get out of this game these days is the slow grind of leveling up , shooting the piss out of things on the planets, and screwing around with different weapons. It is what it is.

Yes,For me this is the worst season we’ve had.on Friday I had people not understanding why they couldn’t launch trials solo.i thought it was funny at first,but it’s just bad advertising on Bungies part. As a solo player using lfg to find players is confusing and makes no sense to new light players.The raids are different and need a better system than traditional matchmaking,but trials nightfalls n stuff like that let people play.

6 RepliesWell, you could join us, as most of the time somebody is online and ready to play. I understand wanting your own clan, and being a founder I would likely promote you to an admin in time, but even though we are smaller as well right now, like I said, most of the time somebody is online playing. By inviting you, I mean bring your whole clan. We are an xbox clan though. We are LEFT UNSUPERVISED, we are a newer clan that happened when another broke up. We have several xbox ambassadors in the clan, so we like to help people. So far, we are a mid/older gamer clan, but most anybody is welcome. Our only real rule, is that you respect other members and treat them how you wish to be treated yourself. Our goal is to have a clan where every member has a voice, and gets to use that voice. I play mostly solo, but for other things all you need to do is go on this app, join a fire team and away you go...I did 3 legendary bunkers yesterday within 30 mins after finding a fire team with 5 mins. It can be done. I play a couple evenings a week no problem.

What you can do is find a solo game to play. I completely feel you (working father of two), but Destiny is heading more in the direction of multiplayer / co op. I have two people I try to play with on the weekends and use the forum team finder to fill the gaps, which works okay.

You guys will always be a mystery to me. Be happy you have what you have. Stop holding on to things that don't suit your lifestyle anymore. Christ Almighty man... It's a [b][i]videogame[/i][/b].. not your kids, partner, career, or home. It's time to pack the game up as you said. Maybe venture of to other games your kids may enjoy provided they are old enough?

Keep running through the lost sector between Winding Cove and the Gulch, eventually you should hit an instance with a few people in it.

What? Seraph tower is the only thing that requires more than one person. And if you haven’t gotten an instance with 6 people, that’s VERY odd. I find 5 others in that area every time. Be patient.

Well I simply think that playing solo points out the flaws of D2 more heavily. Mainly cause there aren't friends to distract you from the terrible mechanics and rewards. As for the towers trust me they're not worth your time do the easy daily bounties cause Bungie only knows how to make boring bounties and move along.

Destiny has always progressed towards being an LFG, or matchmaking type game. Limiting it to solo-ability will limit the amount of content that can be released by Bungie. I used to and still do have that same complaint. It can be hard to get groups together. Chances are you are under level for the Seraph tower event anyways since its the first week so Bungie will just ignore that complaint. Public events have always been meant for at least two people unless you are generally decent at pve with skill and knowledge (which it does sound like you are a good player) I feel your annoyance of being a full-time dad and full-time job, but you have to be realistic with the amount of time Destiny 2 requires and the amount of time you can dedicate away from your work and family. Join a good clan and make some friends to help you when you are on is all I can recommend.

So for the tower, just go there at any given time pretty much and wait a little. Should end up with 5 or so people after a bit, someone will start it and just do your best to contribute. It shouldn't take more than a couple tries that way to get it done most of the time. For other pve activities like the bunker and legendary zones you can bull your way through, might need a smidge of gaining power but not too bad. See with those nothing really resets after death, so you can grab a few random weapons and rush in, kill what you can, rinse and repeat. For the legendary today for example I grabbed a couple shotguns and a sword to clear the first two rooms with their champions. Then swapped to a solar submachine gun, sniper rifle, and solar machine gun (though most any solar heavy woulda worked fine). Blasted my way to the upper platform so I'd be out of the way of the champions, then popped out on the ramp to burn away the boss's shield, pop him a few times with the sniper rifle. Rinse repeat until dead, he runs up the ramp at the end but by then you can usually burn him down and use a finisher, or pop super. Then open the boxes. For the bunker I generally have been grabbing an anti-barrier submachine gun, and overload autorifle, and then power weapon of choice. Then just play as normal using the right weapon on the right champion, and if I die just keep going since death doesn't matter here.
