So now that basically everything requires a team, (cuz I can’t Even solo a seraph tower) and progress In The game, What do I do now? Im a full time dad with a full time job and when I actually have a moment I need to just be able to turn on and go. I can’t do that anymore, I Love this game but I literally had to shelf it right now. Bring back some soloability would you?

Edited by Sarges24: 3/16/2020 1:10:23 AMI play with a friend or two sometimes but I mainly solo... I've upgraded the Bunker to lvl 3 as of last night. Bounties, bounties, bounties, weeklies, and weeklies along with Seraph Towers, lots of them. When it comes to the Seraph Towers just start one and hope people join. Or travel, relaunch and hope you find one that is going on with a few people. I've noticed that often people just don't want to start them so if there are a few people in Winding Cove just start it up and they'll usually jump in and others will load in to join... I will say this season does suck but there's still plenty you can do and get done as a solo player. 2 cents.

Bounties lots and lots of bounties
-
Continually fast traveling to the Seraph events will eventually load some people; competency not guaranteed. The Legendary Lost sectors, or at least the EDZ ones, made no sense to be at 1000 right out of the gate.
-
They're is only one weekly thatrequires the seraph tower completions, correct? Even with a fire team of 3 you're not result beating it without other people. Depending on them 5 might not be enough. Do the other bounties. They're all very easy to solo. As for the tower, it's just like escalation protocol, just travel in and outuntil people are there.
-
I agree 100% I also have work and family life and they are pushing away the solo player
-
I agree and disagree, it's a slow grind to power up as a solo player, unless you're running comp alot. It's taken me a few days to upgrade bunker to lvl 2 due to lack of ways to get mats. However Seraph towers aren't something to guage as a solo player, that's more on luck of whether there are folk in map and whether or not you've got a good set up for add clears. Personally I run stormcaller with riskrunner, anti barrier SMG n edgewise, if there's 1 or 2 others in map, you can pretty much control the area easily
-
Play solo comp. You can get powerful rewards (level one) flowing out of your arse.
-
Same. Single full-time dad, mostly soloing stuff. It's a public event though dude. Just like EP, don't start one if you are the only one in the area and expect to complete it. I find the "legendary" lost sectors more annoying. 1000 light level is ridiculous. Supposedly this qualifies as "aspirational content". It would be far better if that meant it's just hard so you have to try different strategies, different loadouts, "get gud" to beat it, but the mindless grind just to participate in stuff is so lame.
-
Agreed I have a wife and a kiddo but don't have the time to super farm like others
-
seraph towers was the only thing i couldnt do solo, apart from that i did everything else solo if you include in game matchmaking and managed to get to 1k power

Edited by Corrick II: 3/15/2020 11:51:49 PMPlay a solo game. That’s not meant to sound ass-y, either. I love Destiny (or did, a long time ago), but the way Bungie has shifted focus over the last couple of years it’s hard to enjoy it even a fraction as much as I used to. I’ve been playing other games to fill the gap, and finding some pretty good ones too.
-
I played trials on one character so far this week and he’s up to 998 base, 1006 with artifact. Trials was the only thing I needed a team for and before I went in I was at 993. 960-993 was basically all solo play. I did not raid. Only thing I grabbed a team for was PoH just because I was too lazy to solo it. Was too lazy to put a mic on for it though. It’s doable. Even getting into pinnacle range is doable. Doing team based stuff helps but it’s still possible to just play solo
-
You still can. It just takes longer because the abiiity to do the bounties isn't readily available.
-
I feel it, I’m a 27 year old with a wife, $900 living expenses and a 47 hour work week. This game has become boring and very a team based time sink with little worthy reward after
-
I went up 19 base power this week. Started the season at 961. Solo player.

I have played nothing but shattered throne after i stop buying dlcs(forsaken was my last) and im on my way to 900, you can progress with minimum game play, just take your time don't try to eat through content in a week. God.
-
If you're having issues people can help you. You choose not to so this is more on you then Bungie.
-
Join a clan? LFG? It’s not very hard. Or just quit playing as I have done.

Rinse reapeat

Agree, unfortunately I prepaid for DLC when I came back to Destiny and bought Shadowkeep. Dont think I will be buying another season.
-
I always liked playing solo, I think that's how I end up meeting more people but I don't marry anyone. As for the new event, I almost always lose it because people don't know what to do, they die because the required light level is high for them or they just give up before and go somewhere else. Not if I reach level 1000 next week for as a game, but for this week I ran out of my legendary nightfall and lost legendary sector. And worst of all, the trials is an elitist content, and as content of that style it becomes toxic and a source of money because the "carry" for money will surely start, this is common in WoW.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/15/2020 8:25:41 PMYou’re barking up the wrong tree here. This game and the people that like and play it are not what the developer expected and wants to admit. It’s an everything and everyone game and they do nothing to acknowledge and play to that and that’s why it remains short of greatness.
-
Maybe all of these solo players b!tching and moaning should team up.
-
Solo player here. Almost maxed my EDZ bunker. You can do it. Have some patience.
