So now that basically everything requires a team, (cuz I can’t Even solo a seraph tower) and progress In The game, What do I do now? Im a full time dad with a full time job and when I actually have a moment I need to just be able to turn on and go. I can’t do that anymore, I Love this game but I literally had to shelf it right now. Bring back some soloability would you?

So for the tower, just go there at any given time pretty much and wait a little. Should end up with 5 or so people after a bit, someone will start it and just do your best to contribute. It shouldn't take more than a couple tries that way to get it done most of the time. For other pve activities like the bunker and legendary zones you can bull your way through, might need a smidge of gaining power but not too bad. See with those nothing really resets after death, so you can grab a few random weapons and rush in, kill what you can, rinse and repeat. For the legendary today for example I grabbed a couple shotguns and a sword to clear the first two rooms with their champions. Then swapped to a solar submachine gun, sniper rifle, and solar machine gun (though most any solar heavy woulda worked fine). Blasted my way to the upper platform so I'd be out of the way of the champions, then popped out on the ramp to burn away the boss's shield, pop him a few times with the sniper rifle. Rinse repeat until dead, he runs up the ramp at the end but by then you can usually burn him down and use a finisher, or pop super. Then open the boxes. For the bunker I generally have been grabbing an anti-barrier submachine gun, and overload autorifle, and then power weapon of choice. Then just play as normal using the right weapon on the right champion, and if I die just keep going since death doesn't matter here.

Try this: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Topics?pNumber=0&tg=Clans And join a discord community and/or a the100 group. Always plenty of people looking to team up most times of the day.

Shadowkeep and “what-ever-the--blam!- last” Season was called might have been playable ( for me ) if Bungie hadn’t removed all solo player milestones. But they did, and as a result I really, really struggled to find a sense of purpose whenever I played Shadowkeep. Instead of bringing a sense of purpose and meaning to some of Destiny’s under-utilised activities, Bungie instead close to narrow down the “grind” to a very small handful of activities.

If your seraph tower team is incompetent, just fast travel to the winding cove another time. It will reinsurance you and you can find a team that knows what they are doing.
-
i seem to be progressing just fine... maybe its you? less whinging more playing.
-
Dude i say this as genuine advice, im not mocking you in any way. You should play division 2 instead. Destiny is total shite these days

You don't require a fireteam for it, I am a solo player and have completed a few Seraph tower events, there are plenty of people doing those events.I would suggest holding on doing them and focus on doing regular stuff like crucible, strikes or gambit and get weapons and armor. When you decide to do the events make sure you have weapons with the seasonal mods.

Most people don't bring a fireteam to do Seraph Towers. Also, aside from one or two (unnecessary) powerful drops, it's not like you NEED to do 12 of them a week for the entire season. I'm at 998 gear after 5 days playing 100% solo.

Using LFG for activities like seraph tower takes like 5 minutes, and most groups don’t even require a mic.
-
You don't need a fireteam for the towers, even more you can't bring more than 2 people with you in your squad and you need like 6 to properly complete that.. just go in and out several times until there are enough guardians around.

Solo'd the heroic bunker on the first day, fullly upgraded the bunker by Friday. It can be done by a solo player. But dont expect to if you are putting in a minimal amount of time. You say you are a dad I understand, but then tell your kids as a life lesson "some day you can have what you want for minimal investment of time" obv you would fail as a parent if you said or believed that. So apply that logic here, if your stance this is this a game and not IRL then destiny 2 may not be the game for you.

Find a game that isnt a full time commitment. Even when the content is super sparse this game is massive time sink. Might I suggest something offline functional like the SoulsBorne games or Nioh 1 or 2? Trying to wean myself off of this game with those.
-
Well it is a multiplayer game....
-
Plenty of lfg options easy to find grps and I say this as dad with 3yr old and full time job
-
You can try to make friends or join a clan. Saraph tower, similar to escalation protocol, can't solo either. Why don't you complain about that too?
-
I just want the Waroock robes. Otherwise, there's nothing to play this season because it's either inaccessible, to boring to play, or the stuff we used to have was taken away.
-
They’re public events. People will join you as you do them. That’s pretty much the only thing that requires a team.
-
You just have to go back to grinding the milestones for a couple of weeks, get up to 970-980, and you’ll be fine.
