Disclaimer: this relates to the offtopic roleplaying. It is fine if you don’t like that but you have been warned.
It was a cold and snowy night in the nearby mountains of offtopic. A single tower, a giant metal rod springing from the ground, rested within the deep of the mountain valleys and snow stormed all around it. Each flake like a singular dancer slowly moving away through a void of eternity forever surrounded. The wind roared like a angry god breathing upon the earth. Standing on the top of the tower was a hooded figure in robes of grey. A purple cloak waved heavily in the wind behind him. In his hands lay a crystal orb which was scrying on a location elsewhere. The crashing of a metal book came from behind the wizard and so did a voice.
“What in all the realms happened to our kitchen.” Came the voice of a armored knight standing behind the wizard.
“What kitchen? Do you mean my alchemy lab?” The wizard replied.
“I left you for a couple weeks and this is what I return to. Why is our kitchen a alchemy lab?”
“One has no need of a kitchen when they can summon food. Plus maybe we could afford a kitchen AND a lab if one of us would stop eating away at our treasury, metaphorically of course.”
The knight was silent for a bit, thinking of different responses, before he finally said,
“At least you are not destroying the house out of boredom. What new interest has caught your attention this time.”
“I need more warriors that I can trust.” The wizard said cryptically.
“I don’t see how trust has anything to do with the lab. Unless...” the knight pauses, and with his voice filled with mockery and laughter he speaks, “Its alive! Ok doctor Frankenstein.”
The wizard turns around. His face completely serious.
“I am no cleric. I cannot create life or resurrect it. I simply summoned a warrior who serves justice, from far away, from there death and returned them, with some modifications that where vital for the process to be successful, with magic and other such alchemical ingredients. The hero’s journey is there own but I have created warriors I could trust.” He says calmly.
“You have no clue what you are doing! Your experimenting with life and death itself! How could you!”
“I am saving a life! And that life could save many more. Do not be hypocritical because that is what you do every day but instead of using swords and steel I have used magic and science. Just like any doctor would do.”
“And what shall you do with this newly resurrected life? Let it wander and do what it whats? Sure it may have been good in its past life but what about now? Have you read any books?”
“That is the difference between me and books. I will not make the same mistakes because the wisdom has been parted to me. I will guide my warrior to the light and I will guide him to other wise figures.”
“I have trusted you before, my friend, and I shall trust you now. But I remain slightly skeptical. If you wanted someone to watch over couldn’t you do it the normal way?”
“I never do things the normal way, you know me. Plus your just jealous you don’t have someone of your own to watch after. Would you like a dwarf?”
The knight just smirked. His friend do not realize but he indeed had someone to watch after. For the wizard would be dead ten times over without him. But the idea of guiding a new generation of hero’s was appealing to him and he was sure his wizard companion already knew it.
Far past the metallic tower and the frigid blizzard a being was awakening. At the very footholds of the mountains a figure awoken and motions where set that might change the course of the ever moving tides of fate.
This is the first part of a story for my new character. This one and one more yet to come takes place before my recent post but the rest will probably be after since the character is still relatively week and it will be about his trials to become a hero and not what he has achieved before hand.
Please PLEASE work. If not, I’m sorry, if so I’m sorry.
