I would like if this could be explained, but I'm not holding my breath on it; what are the actual intentions of Bungie going forward with this franchise? Destiny 2 has made some very serious missteps in terms of player investment being valued, and myself and many others are feeling very alienated at the treatment of the playerbase. A lot of choices being made are invalidating 2+yrs of time and effort that have been put into Destiny 2, and all the while we're being told about the artificial Fear Of Missing Out that doesn't feel fun or rewarding to play through.
Naturally occurring things in the world, like the Prometheus Lens, or using Telesto to skip waves in the Blind Well, were fun because they just happened to be there. You can't manufacture those. It's not a Fear Of Missing Out that you're creating, it's having us pay for content that you intend to remove from the game. And now, with the removal of many beloved stats on people's emblems, and the news that our weapons now have expiration dates, it's not that we need to fear what we might miss, but that we have to fear what you might suddenly decide to take away that we've already earned. Our entire life within this game is in jeopardy because of the decisions that you keep making.
The question I want answers to is what do you actually want to do with this game? Where do you want it to go? That needs to be made crystal clear to the community, because right now it looks like your intention is to make everyone stop playing.

Just go back to D1. That's the best Destiny will ever be.

Their intention is to milk this dead game for all they can, but it's not going to improve. The best days are behind it. No Vicarious Visions, no High Moon Studios, no Activision funding them, a lot of talented individuals from before are gone, a lot of the good leadership is gone, and they're now focused on netease. The D1 music composer is gone, the voice actors like the factions and Nathon Fillion are gone, How can it possibly get better when their talent is all gone, yet Luke Smith remains? It's a shame really, game had potential to be great.

Why do you think the latest directors cut came out when it did. They knew this was on the way they knew it was going to go very bad so in advance they told everyone that they are going to change......as soon as they get around to it.

WE NEED LUKE SMITH, MARK NOSEWORTHY AND THEIR WHOLE TEAM FIRED, BRING BACK JASON JONES AS DESTINY GAME DIRECTOR

Edited by Trafalgar_Lou: 3/10/2020 9:29:28 PMThere working on there new title with Netease and will be for a long time. The smaller studio at bungie will continue to make content like the current season. I really hope this new title is worth it to bungie because at this rate they will have lost all there destiny fans by that point.

Edited by Jamestown01010: 3/10/2020 11:10:17 PMThis is a great question, one that I have had as I’ve watched this game turn into an unsatisfying grind fest over the years. Now today, when I saw everything reset to zero, including glory, I know Bungie is not focused on keeping players. They are catering to the new free players. Most of the veterans don’t participate in Bungie’s cash-grab, and there is not much else left in the game any more to balance out the cash grab. We used to be able to ignore eververse as the rest of the game was great. Now bungie is putting out substandard content and milking eververse before the game finishes circling the drain. It’s a business and destiny is six years old, so makes sense. It could still be a cash cow, though, if not for bungie driving players away. Maybe the next big release will be free to play only.
