After this weeks TWAB, I’m sad to say but it’s time for me to put the game down, possibly for good. Bungie has no interest in addressing major concerns to its player base, and I’m really disappointed in their approach with the game going forward.
Many of the past issues were blamed on Activisions involvement, and with last years massive improvements from launch, I was willing to believe them and give the game a second shot. I had left Destiny 2 just a week after launch, and only returned this last December. I desperately wanted this game to keep making improvements, but the coming season set back so much of the progress made since forsaken that I again have no faith in the companies promises of concern for its player base. This weeks TWAB shows a focus on overhauls to eververse, multiple sandbox changes that negatively impact enjoyable gameplay, and an overall disregard for concerns brought up by their community. It’s apparent large content creators are their main concern, and as long as they are happy, and the masses keep playing, Bungie won’t do anything. If we want change, the only option is to affect their end goals, which seem to be exclusively income rather than the well-being of the community built around their franchise.
I encourage others to leave, as moving forward your time spent will equate to useless items and the reworking of gear you already spent hours working to get. Our time here is meaningless, and Bungie will continue to allow that as long as we go along with it. I truly want this game to do well, but I don’t want it to devalue my time spent with it. For now I’ll be returning to a few old favorites, maybe sometime in the future I can revisit this game, but for now it’s time to move on. Been fun Bungie, please do better.
