So, I am big on aesthetics in videogames, which has a lot to do with why I play destiny2 (the graphics are on point) So going into shadowkeep Bungie announced armor 2.0 and universal ornaments. They definitely made it seem like it would allow out guardians to look different from one another. Now that universal ornaments have been here for a while it has become clear that this isnt the case. We have tons of cool armor sets that are basically unusable because it doesnt have the best stats. In addition there is no universal ornament for these older armor sets leaving the playerbase looking very similar to one another. Unfortunately, the few universal ornaments available now are mainly in the eververse for purchase. It is clear that Bungie did not allow older armor sets to be universal ornaments for fear that it would interfere with eververse sales. This does not sit well with me. I think a better option is to make all armor universal ornaments and Bungie will still be able to sell finishers, ghosts, ships, weapon ornaments, transmat effects, and anything else through the eververse. TL:DR -- Make all armors have a universal ornament.
