I was a fan of escalation protocol back in the day. It was a great mindless activity to do while talking with friends. I even enjoyed sort of hacking the system to get nine-person lobbies to do the activity at our meager light level.
When it was discovered that the worldline catalyst could be progressed by attacking the EP boss with the weapon’s exotic perk, I was eager to get started. To my dismay, it seemed nothing I did had any effect on the catalyst. I tried many many times. Nothing. It was clear. My worldline catalyst was bugged. I tried everything to fix it. You name it, I tried it.
And so, I eventually admitted defeat and gave up on this foolish endeavor, that is until recently when I started using worldline again, and so also I started to once again crave that sweet sweet accelerated cool-down goodness of which I had once strived to obtain. I decided to dip my toe back into EP and see if perhaps an interim software patch had loosened up whatever gremlin was haunting my catalyst.
Here is where I stumbled upon a problem that affects not only me, but anyone trying to progress the worldline catalyst in year 3. That problem is the fact that no one is doing EP! The worldline catalyst is the only catalyst tied to an non match-made activity in which it is intended to be completed by a large group of guardians. I have been trying and trying to get to the boss, but I can’t even get past level 3 with these clueless blueberries that’s quit when they don’t get loot after the first 2 levels. LFG is a total bust, because new players have no idea what the heck escalation protocol even is.
To summarize, I feel I deserve this catalyst to be completed, but the game disagrees, and so basically I’m here to cry and hope someone takes pity on me and does something.
