Microsoft are now talking about their smart delivery, allowing games to be updated to support the new Series X natively. I figure it's probably too early for Bungie to start discussing their plans for any games on these new console platforms, but I wanted to put the question to them anyway so that they know I/we the community are the thinking about it. Will Destiny 2 support the Xbox Series X? Will it run natively on this platform or simply via backward compatibility features provided? I also posted a question last July about Vulkan rendering on the PC build of the game, which didn't get much of a response. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/252948526?sort=0&page=0 But I wanted to bring up again because it's related to the future of Destiny 2. Again, I'm not expecting an answer, just wanted to put the question to Bungie, to answer when they are ready.
