Orûnn had never seen anything before. He didn’t know anything about anything because he was basically a baby. Everywhere he looked there was trees, grass, and bushes which made him very confused. He spent hours pushing branches aside and trudging through thick bushes only to wind up in another spot of the forest that looked like pretty much everywhere else in the forest. Orûnn also didn’t know what dangers could await him, or what dangers were at all. The sun was able to shine through some of the thick canopy and small beams of sunlight lit up the surface. Orûnn figured out that he would have to find where the sunlight broke through the most because that was his way out of the forest.
After a long time following the sunlight, the brush began to thin out. Orûnn ran towards the edge of the forest and as soon as he got out, he tripped over a tree stump. He let out a pained grunt and slowly stood back up. Ahead of him was a large field and a city way out in the distance. Orûnn started to feel extremely dizzy. Everything became blurry and his body started going limp. He collapsed and passed out, left out in the open where anything could see him.
Orûnn began to feel his body again. He slowly moved his arms and then his legs. He blinked his eyes and took a good look around him. He was still in the spot where he passed out, untouched by anything. He used his hands to push himself back up and looked to where the city was... But something wasn’t right. Orûnn knew that it was a city, that he was just in a forest, that he was just born not too long ago. He was startled by all the knowledge he suddenly had, and began to make his long walk to the city.
He was halfway to his destination and somewhat afraid of what he would encounter there. He knew what things were, but had never actually seen or experienced them before. Everything was beginning to become very confusing to the point where Orûnn began to sweat. He was afraid... He was alone, but knew that he had to keep going. Orûnn jumped at the sound of something overhead. He was suddenly knocked back by the impact of a large object hitting the ground.
Orûnn was scared and then angered by what just happened because he was already having a difficult time taking in his surroundings. He shook the dirt off of himself and stood back up to see what had nearly landed on him. All Orûnn could see was black dust and he could barely see in front of himself. He tried waving it away but it didn’t seem to help. Orûnn began to notice movement a few feet ahead of him. The black dust swirled away from whatever was moving and soon began to clear up. Orûnn inched in closer to the movement and was able to make out a body swinging its arms around. Orûnn got a bit too close and the creature stared him dead in the eyes. The creature began to stand up and Orûnn backed away slowly. The hulking beast had large arms and black spikes protruding from its shoulders. It had horns that curved upwards, and a long tail that waved frantically. The creature was startled by Orûnn just as he was startled by it. Orûnn was no longer alone, but was face to face with something that probably wanted to kill him.
