I sat at the empty bar, solemnly sipping his beer. My mind was uneasy, and deep in thought. Thoughts of pain, destruction, conquering. I don’t know why I have them, but I do. The staff pulses gently with energy as I think, begging me to grab it again. I don’t want to. The longer I hold it, the more I begin to lose myself to its power. The thought of controlling my own personal, lifeless version of this ‘Offtopia’ was both exhilarating and oddly saddening. Maybe a part of me still wants to remember. Yes...Yes! I have to find out who I am, that’s why I’m at this bar! Some woman I believe, Anna? Supposedly I may be connected to her in some way. I hope so. What if she knows nothing? Will I continue to be a leach to this earth, contributing nothing? Maybe I should just end it all, that way I wouldn’t have to know who I was. I could be free. But what would lie beyond death? Heaven? Hell? Reincarnation? Bah, it’s not worth it. I shouldn’t think like that. If there is anyone left, they may want me to continue living. I hope so.

As I walked into the bar, an old drunkard whistled for me. I simply gave him the finger and continued along. Another man sat at the bar, deep into a beer. He wore a dark leather coat that stretched down his to his black boots, and left his bare chiseled chest exposed. His silver hair was swept to the side, and a thick scruffy beard that seemed like it didn’t quite belong latched onto his face. I pulled up a stool next to him and ordered a drink.
“Whiskey please.”
“Comin right up.”
The bartender slid the glass towards me and I caught it, downing it in one quick swig. When I looked back down at the man I practically dropped it. I let out a slight gasp as I tapped him on the shoulder.
“Luther?”
