Ninja:
The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice.
There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.
Source
The comments are funnier.

why do you know what he tweets

It's the dude's livelihood, so despite how cringey I find the streaming community to be, it's an understandable mindset for him. I'd say the same for a professional athlete. For you or me, on the other hand, losing a video game or sports game shouldn't be anything to get mad over.

I agree with that. It also depend on how far you take it. You can take a game seriously and get upset if a part of that game is failing, but don't let it control you. Don't let that be a copout for no standards. But if it controls you, you lost and should put it down for a while.

Ninja tryna be the Kobe Bryant of video games lmao

Not a lot. The guy understands that total apathy over something you're passionate about is unnatural. What's the deal?
-
Sounds like a good copy pasta
-
I can understand his reasoning with the encouragement of growth, but competitive games are much harder to play if you get tilted. If you get cheesed/rushed and get mad about it, you’re liable to play worse under pressure later in the game.
-
I do not neccesarily disagree with that statement. Lots of people get pissed or at least disapointed when they lose, or their favorite sportsclub loses, gaming is no different.
-
At first I thought you were talking about a ninja on here. Any way I'd have to disagree. "it's just a game" is a strong mindset, treat it as you should other hiccups in life by looking for a way to improve yourself. Don't sit there getting angry at yourself and/or others for the loss.

You need to learn how to loose before you learn how to win.

Edited by Sunslinger: 2/20/2020 10:15:32 AMNot gonna lie I thought you meant a Ninja as in a Ninja from b.net lmao. Those comments in response are -blam!-ing hilarious

Who is Ninja and why should I care?
-
He is so far up his own ass I swear
-
What’s more loser-ish? Playing a game for fun and getting over a loss? Or spending all day sweating your balls off in a game meant for middle schoolers?
-
You can't even call him out on anything either because people will just accuse you of jealousy. Fair enough he has a ton money but that doesn't make him tolerable.
-
He’s basically the Jaden Smith for gaming.
-
I read this, thinking that you were talking about ninjas, not ninja
-
Not everyone can be a winner and the mentality of "everyone wins" that gets thrown around nowadays needs to stop
-
Instead of vanilla ice’s go ninja go ninja go now all I can think of is screw ninja screw ninja screw
-
I mean, if someone kills him he automatically assumes he’s being stream sniped and then he’ll report the person who killed him. It’s easy to say that when you have such a massive ego you believe you can’t be killed unless they’re cheating.

Edited by H1vac: 2/19/2020 5:47:24 PMNo Anger =/= No Improvement. But anger can show a greater attachment to the game.

I messed up a game of dbd and the trio of players tried to bait me into feeling bad. Like you don’t get to talk shit when I survive 100% longer than you and your whole SWF team goes down within 30 seconds XDDD

The “phrase it’s just a game” is used on people who play like if the game is on their shoulders. AKA: toxic/salty/bad-side-of-the-fandom That phrase doesn’t apply to STREAMERS because it’s not a game to them. You tell them calm down, not is just a game.
