Yeah, I earned both sparrows, but never got the emblem. I didn't even receive an email from Bungie saying I earned the reward, and when I go to the rewards page it's not there now since the weekly reset happened. It's very disappointing that I got both sparrows just to earn that emblem because I actually LIKE that emblem, and now I can't get it.
"Players need to already have the code to redeem it."
This actually makes me really sad seeing as I - and it looks like many others - didn't get their email notifications to claim the reward. When I play Destiny I'm playing and not looking at the Bungie rewards page outside of the game.
Will there be any consideration to help those who have both sparrows on their account who should have earned the emblem but for some reason didn't get the code? I certainly hope so, but I'm not sure.
Lesson learned about looking at Bungie rewards online every week, I guess.

Edited by NeckPUNCHattack: 2/19/2020 6:55:32 AMThe only way you got the code was when you’d go to redeem it, it’d show you the 9 digit code... I don’t think these were designed to be emailed out... you either would’ve redeemed them or wrote down the code (according to bungie). What I think they’re saying (because they don’t want to auto add all the codes to everyone’s account who completed it) is that you had to have copied and saved the code off of the rewards page... but that’s really unfair because everyone just assumed they’d be able to complete the whole process via the rewards page and not have to write down the code. It’s a big mess that bungie should fix, but they won’t.

Yeah, I don't usually write down the codes from the rewards page, but half the time I don't go and look at the rewards page unless I get the email notification. Like I got for "oh you earned Bastion, don't forget to claim your reward on Bungie.net/rewards" but this one didn't have that at all. Sure, there was the email saying how to get the emblem at the beginning, but it's been quite a long week and after playing enough crucible to get all the currency I need for several things from Shaxx I'm not going to remember an email from days ago. They can see on our accounts who's earned it and who hasn't, I'll never understand why we can't just get the emblem in game rather than leaving the game to collect it when I had to do a specific activity for it in the game.

Ya know, the first time I saw bungie give out an emblem during a season (I think I first found it by mistake in May 2019), it was the one thing they didn’t give that email notification for. Then every other time they’ve given emblems as seasonal/event rewards, the same thing keeps happening... they don’t send email notifications. It’s like they want ppl to feel good about grabbing a time limited emblem, but they don’t go out of their way to make it known that it might be a reward, like, it makes it a reward that’s even more rare. Idk... I just think like all rewards, event, seasonal or whatever... if everything else sends you an email, telling you to get it in time, the emblem rewards should do the same. At the very least, their automated system that sends you the “you have a reward waiting” message should let you know the only way to get the emblem code is by signing onto bnet or thru the app, even if they don’t wanna send us the emblem code directly. It just sucks that there’s a definitive way to prove ppl were eligible (both sparrows were unlocked), yet they give one extra day and say we needed to already have written down the code. That’s not a good way to reward players. It’s lazy and the day extension just insults a lot of ppl now. Oh well... like you said... just gonna have to check more often!
