The Hammerhead
The Hammerhead has become destiny 2's Galijhorn, unintentionally stronger than it should be and completely overused. When playing gambit, gambit prime, or crucible, the Hammerhead has killed me more than any other weapon by a significant margine. Out of all the weapons in D2, one weapon should not outshine the rest, which was the reasoning behind nerfing the Galijhorn originally. When looking for people to squad up in crucible or gambit, the first message I get is "You got the Hammerhead?"
I'd recommend a 10% firerate drop and a small damage cut. Nothing too huge, but enough to make it not "the only gun in pvp."

1 ReplyLol. You’re going to get roasted. Hammerhead has the best base stats out of the 450s, which is arguably the best archetype of lmg. There’s a guaranteed way to get it. It’s not surprising that this is a popular gun, but calling it the D2 version of ghally is... maybe the most dramatic embellishment I’ve ever seen in a nerf post.

2 RepliesYou're either new to the game, took a long break or looking for a scapegoat weapon? Hammerhead is a popular choice because of ease of access, it's not best in class by any means either. LMG's already took a hit in terms of damage output & ammo economy, go get one yourself or use Truth or wardcliff, plenty of options out there.

10 RepliesHammerhead is kinda useless really... Xenophage, truth or sleeper are better for gambit... Hammerhead isn’t even good for DPS... If someone says “must have hammerhead”, then clearly they don’t know how the meta works... Even avalanche is better... like a lot better... Thunder lord is better too... Tractor cannon, colony, any rocket launcher or any sword are all better for crucible...

3 RepliesIs this the season of asking for nerfs to everything that kills you in the game? I mean a mg? Really? Wardcliff has probably done you in way more often than a mg. I mean not to sound bad here, but who the f uses a mg in gambit?
