The only thing I dont' know is if you get a level 6 solar as a drop, will it be one upgrade module or all the resources to get to level 6.. same thing with a masterworked drop from the pit.. will it be all the mats or just the one.

 • Now watch it be random... “oops, your solar rolled into solar! Wanna pull the slot machine handle again?? OOPS solar again!”

 • I can see this actually

 • As I said on this post knowing the way Bungie is wanting us to grind for the sake of grinding, random would not shock me in the slightest whatsoever.

 • Exactly. They want to keep people in the game as long as possible, but they seem to go about it in the worst possible ways. Instead of making it fun and enjoyable to hold people’s attention with replay value they just.... make it an unpaid internship. 🤷🏻‍♂️

 • Based on how it’s worded, I’d say all materials up to Lvl 6. It seems like the more you invested in the gear, the more expensive it is to flip the element affinity on said gear..... Now I dunno If I read it or not, but are we getting to directly choose the affinity change we want, or are they going to make it random like they are prone to do.

 • Of course it won't be random. Could you imagine someone spending 10 Shards going Arc-Solar-Arc-Solar-Arc-Solar-Arc-Solar-Arc-Solar while looking for Void? The game would be burned to the ground. That's why no one likes Pokemon Go's TM system

 • This is Bungie we are talking about. Until they tell us we can directly choose it, random is always on the table.

 • Random is on the table if you despise the game and/or company and just want to see it fail. Bungie has made mistakes, but they’re not completely clueless to do that

 •
Random is on the table if you despise the game and/or company and just want to see it fail.
Utterly and totally false. But hey keep assuming for all I care. To act like they can do no wrong though is to turn a blind eye. Even the constant praise is detrimental to the health of a game, because it breeds complacency. There are always things that can be improved upon. Bungie likes to randomize stuff. Remember master working prior? It gave you a random stat masterwork that you needed to waste more materials on to re-spin the wheel to try and get the masterwork stat you wanted. Similar concept.
Bungie has made mistakes, but they’re not completely clueless to do that
You would think so. As I said though, until they specifically state that you specifically get to choose the re-roll element, I wouldn’t put anything off the table, especially since Bungie loves to give us slow, methodical grinds.

 • Continue to set logic and rationality aside and come back here in a few weeks to admit you were wrong

 • Nah, just rather mute people who cherry pick and bring nothing to the discussion. I mean, after all I never said they would be random, so there isn’t a thing I could be wrong about.

 • Come on, we both know you aren’t going to mute me. You don’t have that conviction 😂

 • thats another thing.. is it our choice or random.. and yeah the wording seems to indicate what we invest is what we will have to reinvest to change it but... I just really don't know.

 • My desperate hope is that the wording is so nebulous because it isn't set in stone yet.
