In pve and non light enabled activists sure. But not in modes where light is enabled. Just because someone had the time and energy to grind it doesn't mean they should get an advantage in a skill based mode. If that's the case why did Bungie even bother with pinnacle gear for all those sweaty enough to grind every day of the week 🤔

The pinnacle grind is there to avoid players dropping off in the middle of the season. It gives something to drive for, while the artifact is there to help people who dont do that grind to keep up, and not be blocked by RNG.
