More than ever this game’s skill ceiling has been getting less and less apparent. You don’t need to be a good player to top frag anymore, or to even be the main factor to winning the game. All you need is a bad internet connection and broken weapons (looking at you backup plan fusions who backpedal with scouts/pulse rifles).
My suggestion is to monitor the sandbox heavier, and the matchmaking as well. SBMM is not needed, just because some low level players say so. This game needs to listen more to it’s more dedicated crucible players and top tier players when it comes to pvp, not the PvE veterans who stop by pvp for an hour a week. Connection is key in a game like this where having bad internet is rewarding, so ultimately make the matchmaking random skill-wise but make sure it’s region locked please, I don’t want to face someone from Korea or Saudi Arabia when I’m in New York.
There are many more things pvp related that need to be fixed, but my main issue is the fusion rifles being way too easy to use and the matchmaking. Please do something about pvp Bungie and don’t ignore it like you have for the past 5 seasons. ❤️

Everything you said about connection and matchmaking is on point. Whoever Bungie caters the game to will always be a debate tho. I’d rather they just introduce an in-game scrim leagues with our rules, leaderboards and etc. We currently do all of this underground. This way, sweats has a legitimately organized platform, where in game rewards such as loot, gear, emblems and more can serve as an incentive.
