Greetings all. I've been seeing some of the negitive remarks reguarding the reward for the Corridor's of Time weapon.
I honestly believe a lot of people are missing the bigger picture.
An entire community of people pitched together, collaborated, and worked to make a map to find something in a game. That's amazing. I was lucky enough to contribute in what little way I could.
But I think that's the main message behind this whole thing...
That Guardians can work together to do amazing things. It goes way beyond just a weapon. Its a symbol of team work and dedication. Something that everyone in the end gets to benefit from. Sometimes, a quest isn't about the end reward. Its about the journey to get there. And I believe that's something people are missing.
I would hope Guardians are more than being obsessed with the pursuit of fat loot....
Now, am I saying it was perfect? No. But I personally think it was pretty cool. It was something unique and yeah, perhaps this can be a foundation for something even better. That's just my take on it though.
Thank you Bungie for making something really cool. And thank you to the Community for your hard efforts and work.
Ever Loyal Paladin,
Sorvel_64
P.S Also shout out to Bungie for the environment for the Corridors. Its gorgeous and inspiring!!
An entire community of people pitched together, collaborated, and worked to make a map to find something in a game.
Something we already knew we were getting because it was plastered all over advertising materials instead of being left a mystery. Not good design at all. Instead of being complacent, we should take this as a lesson. Awesome and mysterious quests should have awesome and mysterious rewards. THAT is how you bring the community together. When even Kotaku finds it disappointing, you know things could have been done better.
