They never explain to you what it means, or when it's supposed to happen, but you know when it comes. What its purpose was the entire time. A calling. Something greater than yourself. A true meaning to your otherwise meaningless life. Not everyone finds theirs. Some people think they have, and find out later that it was all a lie. But some people... Some people are gifted with it. Kairos brushes himself off some more and begins chatting with his ghost. "Penny?" He begins. "Yes?" She chirps back. "Where are we?" Kairos tilts his head back and around, gazing upon the strange and serene landscape. Huge cubes of transformed rock, colliding with a beautiful display of plant life. Water pours down around the cracks, along with magenta vines in every direction. Penny flies up into the air and spins before coming back to him. "Yep! Just as I thought. This [i]should[/i] be the frozen planetoid of Nessus, but it seems that someone or something has altered every inch of the surface into... well, this." "It's quite lovely!" Kairos puts his hands on his hips and nods. He begins exploring at once. Lifting rocks, climbing trees, and even- "Hey! Look! A cave! Penny, let's go-" He turns to her and slips into the hole, plummeting through roots, vines, and scattered rocks. "-ahhh! Help!" Penny rolls her eye in her shell. "I guess we're going in the cave now." She hurries after him. "Ahhhh- uuhf.." He slams down on a cold wet ground, but it's surprisingly bright. He tries to stand with great displeasure. Penny flies next to him and just stares. Kairos rolls his eyes and tosses his hands up in defeat. "Yeah, yeah. Go ahead..." Penny opens her shell and begins to heal him enough to stand back up properly. "Aaand?" Kairos barely makes eye contact. "And.. I'm sorry. I know you don't like it when I go off on my own like that.." his low apologetic voice instantly shifts, "..but hey! Look at [i]this[/i], huh?" He waves his arms around and spins off down into the rest of the cave. Penny lets out a very audible sigh as she follows him. Until she rounds the corner to find him staring directly into the eye of a Harpy with a strange blue eye. The Harpy blips, "Hello. Why are you here?" "Woah! Penny! Did you know they could [i]speak?[/i]" Kairos yells while pointing directly into the Harpys eye. [i]"Fascinating!"[/i] Penny narrows her shell and begins to hide over his right shoulder. "They can't... Something is wrong here..." She is on high alert, ready for the slightest aggression from the Harpy. The harpy turns around and says, "Come. Test." and then darts off down the cave. Kairos dashes after without question. Penny nearly screams, "Stop doing that!!" As she tails him. Eventually, they get to a clearing at the planetoid core. Massive rocks float effortlessly everywhere. "Test." The Harpy says again before vanishing. Kairos catches up with exasperation. "Huh, huh.. hey, where.. where did you go?" He catches himself and looks around. "Penny, where are we now?" He waits... but no reply. "Penny?..." Suddenly, Vex begin dropping in from nowhere and begin making common blips and bleeps toward each other, all pointing at Kairos. The Minotaurs put up their shields, the Hobgoblins lock their aim, and the Harpys begin to open and spin in excitement. Kairos reaches for his weapons and grasps at nothing. He looks for them briefly, then stares at the horde. "Ah Shanks..."
