Constant "verify game file" errors
Hi,
I've been getting the "verify game file" errors ever since Destiny 2 came out on PC. On bnet it was maybe once a week, but now on steam it's multiple times a day. It doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing in the game, it happens in any activity, sometimes right before the boss dies in a raid <.<
I've tried:
- Verifying the integrity of game files (comes back fine, nothing to reinstall)
- Deleting steam_appid file (I don't have the file to delete)
- Removing and reinstalling Steam
- Removing and reinstalling Destiny 2
- Removing and reinstalling Destiny 2 to a different hard drive
When I've logged into my account on my partner's PC, I've had the same error come up, even though my partner has never had the error

PLEASE can someone help? Google tells me that loads of people have the same issues but nothing has been done to solve it :(

Just wondering if there have been any updates regarding this topic? It's been over a month now and this is still an issue for me, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

hi i got this issue sometime :0 but its fix by shutdown pc. push a power plug of and wait a bit and push plug back . anyway I keep veryfy game file when I have time. because . last time is I did it. its download around 500 mb from server. and I am no idea why I able to play D2 with out error by not patch . I remember I was back on after maintance. that day Is patach day but I able to play it by not patch anything . 2 day later I click verify and it start download 500 mb patch :d cheer

3 RepliesHi there, Thanks for reaching out. We are currently investigating this issue. Some players report they have fixed this issue by following these steps: 1. In the Steam Games library, right click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. 2. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. 3. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages." 4. Then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files. Some have also reported that swapping to a different language and swapping back helps.
